fiction
Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.
Infinity Wheel: Chapter 5
Inez sat on the piano bench gripping the sides. She had done all her warm-ups and practice exercises. The music sheet for “Carnival of the Animals” lay open in front of her, but she could not get past the first few stanzas. Her hands cramped and curled rigid. Her heart went quiet like a whisper.

First Time Home Alone
She was only about 12 years old. It was the first night her mom could go out without having to work, in over a month. However, her step dad was a truck driver and on the road, and the normal sitter was in the hospital. Her mom couldn't resist thought, though. It would only be a couple of hours.

Beyond the Pale
by Josh Morelli My grandfather would tell me stories when I was young about the time before, when the world was large, and the mists had yet to come. He would tell me about animals that were larger than humans and buildings that stretched into the sky. In this place there were so many people that you could travel your whole life without ever seeing the same face twice. I loved his stories, and I would always be sad when they ended. Because our world is nothing like the one my grandfather spoke of; our world is small, and you will see every face here many, many times.

THE MEANING
I am a recollected memory no one listens, for people I was just a common silent guy afraid of the dark, whenever I couldn't see anything with my eyes open broadly, that sudden torment made me feel blind with my power of sight constantly searching for a tiny beam of light. I would struggle with the thought of seeing the same blackness with my eyes closed or open, my throat would get dry, my hand sweaty, and a nervous stomach. When this started taking a toll on my daily life and my bloody sleep patterns, my parents got concerned and thankfully took me to Dr.Liraz. He may be in his fifties when I met him, he used to wear a calm smile and had a big black mole near his left eyes which would squish whenever he put on his spectacles. He diagnosed me with nyctophobia and often asked me questions which made me pause and thought for a moment. With every therapy session, my parents got more concerned if I ever grew out of it. The day I got my first exposure therapy session made me doubt myself if I am afraid of it, I was exposed to my unburnt room of darkness as I was told to face my fear to an extent that it no longer triggers the feeling of perturbation or anxiety.

The Forgotten Dark Town
The sound of the rain hitting the ground counties thru the night. The cold air blew and howled as i recover my sights. Upon opening my eyes every thing is a blur. I lay face down in a puddle with blood, cuts and bruises from a night i'll never forget.

A Cautionary Covid-19 Tale
On the way back from town I had an idea for a short story, which may not be to everyone's taste but every story needs an idea, and this is just a straight draft , no editing , just coming out of my mind. Whether that is the best way to write or it is acceptable is up to you the reader.

THE GHOST AND THE GUARDIAN - BOOK TWO
The quiet country town of Luxton, Florida. Luxury was everywhere to be seen. Beautiful mansions dotted the landscape. Boats and yachts were anchored to jetties. Well kept lawns and beautifully pruned trees spoke to the pride of the town.
