Not much happens in a small town. The most exciting thing that people look forward to, is the small town festivals and family gatherings. You don’t hear of anything terrible happening in these towns outside of family losses. For years and years, the small town of Dana has not been any different. For you to understand, it’s important that you know a little bit out Dana, Indiana. Comprised of about 100 people, a fire house, a water tower, the only suspicious thing in Dana is what the fish is made out of during the annual fish fry. This was going to be just another day of the same ins and outs of day to day living.

Chorus of The Emerald Moon
"Take it easy man". "You too buddy". David waved his friend goodbye. The trunk to David's car groaned as he opened it and put his guitar in. As he put his hand on the trunk to close it he finally relized the green light. He looked up at the moon to see it still there hanging in the sky. It didnt look much different from what it had always looked like except for one major difference. The giant green light that has been emanating from the moon's surface for the last ten years. When man finally went back to the moon it was a race to mine materials and precious metals. "Crazy", David said aloud, "who would've thought after all this time we were all wrong". Everything looked green now. At night it was like a giant green light filter was draped over the world. David got in his car and started it. The gig was over and was time to head home. It was these moments he hated though. The crowd was gone, no one was yelling for another song to be sung, no alcohol to quiet the memories or weed to help him not care. Here he would always remember his brother and why the moon "turned" green.

Instead, the waters pull the boy and his boat further into open waters. The winds, now in control, advance the boat into an unknown part of the sea, causing the boy's anxiety to boil over into a full panic.

I Wish I Never Saw the Green Light
I Wish I Never Saw the Green Light (a Blinding Legacy) By: Jayde Bartha An old woman adjusted her position in a teetering rocking chair. Before her sprawled out on the floor, her three loving grandchildren. Their faces were cupped in their hands as they rest on their elbows and tummies, listening to her intently.

Left To The Night
The last car visible to him through the oncoming evening was a stylish classic car, he estimated it had been purchasable sometime in the sixties. His mind was filled by images of scarves idling in the wind and opiate filled passengers riding carefree through the roads of a misremembered past.

The Invasion
For me, it should have been a normal day. And by normal, I mean going to work, going on a date with my girlfriend this weekend, enjoying heading home from work, talking to friends etc. You get the picture of a normal boring day. Was that going to happen that day, like day the day before? No, none of that was going to happen. But hindsight is always 20/20 so no that day was not like the day. It all started when I got to the subway and let me say I ALWAYS leave on time. Living in Manhattan being on time is a must. When I got to the subway, I nearly ran into someone because a bright green light was flashing in my face. At first, I thought it was a green traffic light. But then I realized it was a light that was never there before. Now that was the only time it happened that day I would have said, “Fine, whatever, weird stuff happens.” But it turns out that fate had something else planned for me and everyone else that day. When I finally got to the platform, I had to wait for the train for 10 minutes. This type of delay is unheard of but as my train pulled into the station the green light was in my face again nearly blinding me. As my sight came back to me the train finally stopped and I got on the train. As always it was jam-packed with people. Many were either on their phones or reading something. Again, my point being is that they were to busy notice that we were heading right towards a bright green light. “What’s up with the green light,” I thought to myself. However, this time something happened.
