THE INDELIBLE
The old, abandoned house sat at the end of a long, winding path, its windows boarded up, and its doors locked. Echoes of the Other Side
As I approached the old mansion, I could feel a sense of foreboding settling over me. The sun was setting, casting long shadows across the property, and the once grand building was now a dilapidated shell. Despite my misgivings, I continued on, steeling myself for what lay ahead. I had been hired by a group of paranormal investigators to look into the strange occurrences that had been reported in the mansion. People claimed to hear whispers in the night, doors opening and closing on their own, and footsteps echoing throughout the halls. I wasn't convinced that there was anything supernatural going on, but I was determined to find out.

The Haunted House on Oak Street

Death Wish
Death Wish It was a beautiful day in the small town of Millfield, where the sun shone brightly and the birds sang merrily. The streets were filled with people going about their daily business, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of freshly baked bread. The Other Side
"Don't do it, Jack. Don't do it." I said to myself. My grip on the knife handle loosened a little but my other hand was still wrapped around the neck of the other student. I sat on top of Luke Valenti, the school bully, holding him down with all my strength. I was enraged. For more than three years I have been bullied by him, had my head shoved into a toilet bowl and even got about three broken ribs. I loathe him. Now I had the upper hand. I could see the fear in his eyes as it slowly dawned on him that he was about to die. I loved it, and yet I could hear my subconscious trying to talk me out of it, that little religious part of me that my mother had brought up. I looked at his eyes turning red with tears.

The Blackout
Maya’s fingers trembled over the keyboard, her eyes darting from one data set to another. Her office, a cluttered space filled with stacks of research papers and books, smelled of coffee and determination. Outside, the city’s cacophony of honking horns and chattering voices echoed through the open window, a reminder of the bustling life that lay just beyond her walls.

Migraines
Ever since we were children, my brother always had the worst migraines. When he was 5, there would be nights where he was up all night screaming in excruciating pain. The lights were turned off and he had an ice pack over his eyes, but it didn’t seem to help much. The next morning he would wake completely disoriented and groggy.

The Witch's Hat
Standing motionless in the shadows, the thief silently questioned every single one of his life choices that led to this moment. This was a very stupid contract to accept: to steal the hat of the witch of the forest. But the reward might just actually outweigh the risk, if he survived, that is.
