2025 The Next Stage
The thunder shook Jim’s chest by the square shaped apparatus where a leather wire attached itself to his mask.It covered his nose and mouth, where two air chambers sat on his cheeks. A bolt of lightning appeared like a throbbing vein outside the back window. Along for the ride where his father, and grandmother. Both of which were also wearing masks and breathing devices. To keep his mind busy, Jim spent most of the ride scratching at a red bump on his wrist he had secretly hid from his father. They slowed the car down and pulled into a large parking lot. Laundromat
Isaias sat sideways on the very last of a line of pale blue fiberglass chairs. He was looking out of the large laundromat glass window up at the sky above the old mostly run-down buildings that lined the street. With the coming evening, it had begun to morph from a pale blue cloudless sky to a mixture of pink, purple, white, and dark gray as the encroaching clouds rolled in above rushing into one another. There was no doubt a storm coming. Unfortunately for Isaias, he had to wait until after work before he could even begin his laundry, which most likely meant he would not be home before it became dark. The storm was just icing on the cake.

I play music to the dead, today they played one back.
I’ve always found dead bodies fun to play with. Ever since I was a kid I’ve been fascinated. The way the skin changes colour, and the body deflates like it's been emptied out. How the eyes always creep open the teeniest bit when you really want them to stay shut. It’s creepy, I know.

Feed Your Fears
The smell of wet cement still permeated his senses and memories. He would never forget that smell, the feeling of damp, cold, starkness. He shook his head as if to clear a dry erase board and pulled his coat tighter over his greasy apron covered chest. This night was his and he wouldn't let any memory flood his excitement. He had been waiting for this and it was going to be most enjoyable. During the day the diner was packed with transients, dockworkers, the occasional mom and pop and teenage rebel. At night the diner became his world. The stars came out and he was the ringmaster of their circus.

Soulful
An old house hidden among ancient trees and rustic landscape would have the mind think, what goes on behind the walls and closed doors? Who has lived there and who lives there now? What stories can be told of its past? They say a house has a soul. Is there one soul or many?

Vampire in Serbia
Once, when spring was about to give way to summer and the valley was filled with the fragrance of chestnut trees in bloom, I was about to learn a lot about how easy it is to deceive people. Above the town, the intense smell of locus tree flowers threatened to render a person unconscious. The fine scent
