Safe (Part 1)
Blood. Rivers of life flowed from the deep slashes on her stomach, arm, and leg merge with the snow turning it crimson as the ice froze it in place. A breeze laden with ice and petrol attacked her senses and face. Her eyes flickered as light bounced over her body, face and around the ground. Voices spoke, the sounds were distant, muffled. Another light passed over her face then a pair of abrasive hands tenderly opened her torn blouse and removed it as another pair of cold, callous hands applied bandages.

Movie Review: 'Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built'
Winchester is yet another silly ghost movie. Despite a cast headed by Helen Mirren, Winchester—subtitled as The House that Ghosts Built—skulks about re-enacting ghost tropes with bad lighting and cinematography, all building toward the same jump scares we’ve seen in every other ghost movie. How predictable are the jump scares in Winchester? All you have to do is remember the rule of three and you will not be surprised.

Ghosts
When you look at this subject, there are really many different views. Are they real? Well that again is up to someone to make their own belief. For me I can only give my opinion on this subject. For me yes I believe they are. However, this is coming from experiences and the fact I am a ghost investigator.

Dark Night Part 2
So, before I keep going, I need to go slightly off topic for a minute…someone messed with the first part of this story. I mean they really messed with it, because I remember specifically mentioning that I drove from Texas to Michigan, about twenty two hours. Somehow that got removed from my final post. I tried taking it down, tried editing it afterwards, but every time, the same block of text went missing. This is going to require some investigation.

'My Bloody Valentine': A Dissection (1981)
"Sarah, be my bloody valentine..."Character from "My Bloody Valentine". Hello, one and all. I love a good splatter movie, and with Valentine's Day approaching, it would seem useless to not watch the George Mihalka's 1981 blood-splattered bon-bon, My Bloody Valentine from 1981. Why? Just because. This Canadian independent film was released in February of that year at the height of the slasher movie craze. Yep, the days of "Crazy Eddie" record shops, pre-MTV, and simple pleasures like sex, blood and, guts, exploitation was never lost on this fat, hairy, man-crazy fuck!

Ted Carcus
In wildlife, the younger animals may be more vicious than the elders. When backed into a corner, they will attack. There have been many deaths in my lifetime. I soon grew immune to death. I suppose I should’ve cried when my parents died … I should have felt something. Not a single tear dropped from my eye. I killed them. They had it coming, they were the ones after all that left me in the back of a hearse when I was younger. They locked me inside of a casket with a dead man.

Dark Night
I get letters and emails all the time, it comes with the territory when you do freelance journalism in a field where people desperately want to be believed. It’s why I have a post office box; if I had all this stuff, it would bury the door to my apartment. Most of it is crap from businesses looking for an endorsement saying they are "haunted" to drum up business and I don't do that. I have it on my website that I don't do that. It’s in the disclaimer at the end of every article I write that I don't do that. Yet here I am, loading a box of letters into my bag, and most of them ask me to look into their haunted business. Mind you, if I did I could afford a nicer apartment and car, but that would torpedo any integrity I held as a journalist.

Leatherface's Texas Chainsaw Massacre
I don't know why I jokingly tell my boyfriend to not take up an offer of BBQ from a very friendly gas station clerk. Of course, I tell him this jokingly, since we live in an over populated Californian suburb. Which, of course, no one is friendly enough to even offer.

Mud
He was comfortably alone in the woods. It was peaceful; the only sounds were of the light breeze rustling leaves, some far off birds, and the light sounds of his shoes on the mossy ground. Brilliant orange shined sideways through the leaves as the the sun sunk against the mountains. He stopped to take it all in before he had to head back to campus. His mind was clear. He noticed the sound of trickling water coming from behind and to his left, not too out of his way as he made his way back. He didn't know there was a stream in these woods, but this was the first time he'd come this far. The light was getting steadily more pale, so he was just going to make a note of the surroundings so he could return to further investigate. He picked up his pace and the water got louder. He still couldn't see it, but his feet were leaving soggy footprints. The smell of stagnant water hit his nostrils. His right foot sunk into a dark patch of moss on the side of a puddle. The left foot stomped down, but he lost his balance. Mud and moss climbed to his elbows as he tried to break his fall. He kept falling.
