Them
Part One: The Night Diary Entry: Saturday June 10 My eyes burst open. I lie still for a couple of minutes I’m staring at the ceiling. Sweating, I know that I am not alone. I can feel eyes on me. They are in the room. Something is in the room. I’m now unable to move. I can’t even turn my head. I can’t look down. I feel the sheet start to pull down. I’m sure that this is it. The sheet is almost all way off now, trying to scream but no sound comes out. The silence is deafening. The sheet is gone now and suddenly I’m able to move. It’s light outside the window… What just happened?

Feminist Horror
It seems as though all horror movies today are either tired remakes of classic favourites or unnecessary origin stories of the torturous men whose infamy defined said classics. These movies rely heavily on overly sexualized and objectified women (see: Jessica Biel in Texas Chainsaw Massacre), who will face almost inevitable sexual assault to some degree, and over the top gore which adds nothing to the plot (see: Evil Dead remake).

The Shadow Puppet
Phasing out the film that I had watched probably over a hundred times, I began to focus on my shadow which was flickering on the wall directly behind me. I raised my hand and my shadow mirrored my actions. I began to create shapes using my hands and body movements, a swan, an elephant, and a dog. I turned back around, loading up Pokemon on my Gameboy and continued to play when suddenly the power cut out.

We All Watch the Classics...
Yea, yea, yea... Black and white... Psycho... Thriller.. Horror? So, do we treat these masterpieces the way they deserve to be treated? Here's a little overview of all the details I find significant in Hitchcock's signature style of filmmaking (in close reference to Vertigo).

The Doll Maker
Piper was on her way home with her brother and sister. They were talking about a new case they had been assigned. Piper and her siblings were detectives, of sorts. They took down the most notorious criminals: serial killers. Obviously, they were not normal triplets. They had been trained since they were small children. The triplets came into this way of life rather, you could say, unexpectedly. Their parents were killed by a man who was pure evil.

The Thing in the Mirror
Chapter 1 What am I? Am I human? Where would I go? Who will I meet? What will my name be? Will I have friends? Where would I live? Will I ever get married? Will any of my questions get answered. Why do I feel so strange and why can't I see anything? What's happening to me...wait, I see something...yeah it's a...it's a light I think...it's growing...I..I...I see my mom. She is beautiful, but what am I..I feel so weird. I think I can walk but I'm not sure? I...I have a brother—ohh look, I have another brother and a sister, but does that mean I am the older or younger?

Movie Review: 'Winchester' (2018). Top Story - February 2018.
Hello, one and all. I often wary of movies that are "based on true stories," or "inspired by true events," if only for the fact that it's just code for "We're just giving you the more bullshit version of a story that is purported to be a true story." That being said, Winchester or the much longer, box-office worthy title: Winchester: The House that Ghosts Built manages to tell an intriguing story that seems to have some root in fact. Fact: the name is indeed synonymous with the iconic rifle and firearm company. Fact: it seems to know the players of that story inside and out. Fact: it was filmed in the actual home where said hauntings and paranormal events had occurred.

Two Sentence Horror Stories Part 1
I have been a fan of horror ever since I was a young child. I found the stories fascinating and loved the thrill the films gave me. In addition, I also read many online stories, which fueled my imagination. I began to write short two sentence stories, and I would like to share them with you all. I hope you enjoy them!

Cold
Wolfen claws or Dracula fangs didn't scare me. Things that went bump in the night, I ignored. The nether-beasts howling their agony from below didn't phase me. The wolfen were an urban legend, meant to scare youngsters. The vampires feared my name. The animated dead; those rotted corpses that hell didn't want, avoided me. At my name, they shrieked in terror, begging to be free of what I might do to them.

The Reaping
The Reaper I first met the reaper when he came for my hamster. I watched as the doorknob slowly turned and the door creaked open. I was expecting Jane, my caretaker—if you could call her that. But it was not Jane. Definitely not Jane. A very tall, skinny figure peered into the room. It crept quietly across the floor to the hamster cage and reached in.
