Ramona's Secret
Ramona briskly stepped into the office on an early Tuesday morning. She is not certain what her day would bring, but feeling a little uneasy in the back of her mind. She is wearing a long black coat with her curly black hair at her shoulders. Strutting in her red bottomed shoes and carrying her three hundred dollar handbag, Ramona gave her assistant Lilly a nod and a pleasant "Good Morning" as she smiled. She walked into her office and closed the tall wooden door behind her.

Storm
It was and average day for Megan. She was going around town running some errands. As she was heading home, she saw a new bookstore. She was a book nerd. She couldn’t get enough of them. She pulled into the parking lot and headed in. It was a small book store, which, to her, were the better ones. She didn’t have anything wrong with the big name brand stores but she preferred the small ones. As she was walking through shelves, she came across one that her friend Paul had recommended to her. Haunted Memories by Roger Green. It was on paperback and it was on sale. She grabbed it up and headed to the cashier. As she walked out of the store she noticed the sky getting a little dark. The wind was picking up a bit, she got a little excited. She knew a storm was coming.

Separation
Thomas thought the reminders would help. The scent of crisp pine, snowfall, and brisk winter winds. The visionary blanket of frosted green as he took in the mountains from the overlook. The feeling of complete isolation in the center of a world that revolved around constant communication. He thought he could handle it, but he was wrong.

What's in the Attic?
Spirits are real. You may have been told otherwise as a kid by your disbelieving parents or by society but you can't doubt the clamor of the poltergeist or the chill of their astral bodies as they try to merge back into the physical plane. Some people see, feel or hear them. Others don't. Since I was younger, I have always had brushes with the fantastic. Whether it was in the form of the rare cryptid sighting or a spirit, there was always some way or another these things found a means to communicate with me.

The Trees
The scream was loud and piercing; almost inhuman. Just a moment before, the three of us had been sitting on this old abandoned school rooftop. We’d been drinking beer, telling jokes, and just having a good time. It was a regular spot of ours. We didn’t look around the rest of the school much, but this building was tall with a big flat roof we could all sit on. Nobody would bother us up here. My friend, Jack, had climbed down the building to go pee in a bush somewhere. Me and my other friend, Jared, were just sitting up there waiting for him. But that was before the scream.

The Mask of Avalor
The night is still, no sounds to be heard; no animal, no insects. A storm is on the horizon; lightning flashes and thunder suddenly roars in the distance. A body lays on the ground. Completely torn to shreds, it is unrecognizable. A hole is beside the body which is soon filled with the unknown corpse.

Samaritan
The first thing he noticed was the cold. The air hung over him, motionless and icy. He felt the stiffness in his joints before he even had a chance to move his body. A thick cloud of drowsiness filled his head, making it hard to keep his eyes open on his first attempt at assessing the scene around him. An alarmingly sharp pain pierced his chest as he moved to sit up. Agony wracked his torso and he was sent gasping back down onto the linoleum. Breathless, he blinked rapidly, fighting to clear the blurriness from his eyes. The center of his chest stung with a pain that radiated from his sternum, and he wrapped his arms around himself as he tried to make sense of his surroundings. He was in a strange room—a long, rectangular space with high ceilings and fluorescent lights that flickered every so often, casting jumping shadows against the plain, bleached walls. A few chairs and tables were strewn about; some carelessly knocked over as if a group of people had hastily fled, and some set up in neat lines with clean metal chairs pushed in neatly around the rectangular tables. He opened his mouth and tried to speak, his lips moving soundlessly as he tried to work up the energy to call out.
