A Good Book
The snow was falling outside the window of the old bookstore. You could tell the store was old from the mold in every corner and the smell of cats. As I sifted through each bookshelf, I could tell most of these books haven’t been looked at in years because they were dusty, and their spines were slowly falling apart like little old ladies.

Mon Ange (My Angel)
I was one of Louis XVI’s (sez) many black dot assassins. One wouldn’t suspect a woman, so it was easier to go through the city unnoticed, even without being on the arm of a man. I wore my hair differently (in a tight bun) and wore black street clothes. When I wore my hair in the popular noodle island curls with my signature white long teardrop earrings and my off-the-shoulder red ball gown, I became La Duchesse de DuBarry. While everyone else wore wigs, I slept in braids every night to achieve the curls they thought I naturally had. Oh, the blush was real. In those days a Vitamin D deficiency was favorable.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of '10 Cloverfield Lane' (2016)
Now this movie wasn't half bad. It actually starts out pretty damn good for that matter. It kinda loses stride quick, but it's a hard concept to sell and a fine line to walk. Let me s'plain... This is a concept I've spoken of many times in my reviews. Is the character out of his/her god damn gourd, or is this shit actually happening? No real spoilers here, our friend John Goodman springs it on you in the first few minutes of the movie. He didn't "kidnap" the female lead, he "rescued her" from the apocalypse... and who knows what's out there? Russians? Zombies? Aliens? Global viral outbreak? A big god damn creature from another dimension? I guess we'll never know! Not with John Goodman's character keeping the female lead locked in an underground bunker...

Don't Look Back
[Don't look back. Don't look back. Don't look back.] I ran. I ran through a pitch black forest that was so dark I couldn't see the forest floor. It was a darkness that stopped me from seeing where my feet landed on the dirt and where the trail of my chilled breath started and ended. It was the kind of darkness that enveloped everything. It was the kind of darkness that pulled shadows from the deepest corners of the forest and twisted them into shapes that tricked your eyes into believing they were real. Were they real?

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Dreamcatcher' (2003)
GROOOOOAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! Ugh, I remember this movie being bad, but not this bad. I know books very rarely translate into good cinema, but Stephen King was always the exception to that rule. Fire Starter, Misery,Cujo,Maximum Overdrive,Salem's Lot, Pet Cemetery, Needful Things, the list goes fucking on for King movies, and not a damn one isn't a fucking classic in its own right... Then we come to this fucking movie. Jesus-fucking-Christ, even 1408 wasn't this bad! What the fuck happened?!?
