Creepypastas
So we all know what creepypastas are: ghost stories or urban legends that are spread through the internet and sometimes through word of mouth. I decided to research and try to find some of the creepiest of them all. I already told you the story of Slender Man and all of the madness that is linked to it. So without further stalling here are more creepypastas.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of John Carpenter's 'The Thing' (1982)
What is it about this movie that makes it so perfect? I mean, let's be honest, John Carpenter wasn't exactly heading into the 80s with a background in horror gems. I mean, we are talking about the man who was responsible for Dark Star and The Fog. In fact, in his early years we would come to expect he'd be producing a lot more good-bad movies than timeless horror classics.

There's Something in the Woods and I Think it Has My Wife
The fire crackled, sucking away the only coolness that the stone fireplace offered. It was unsure of itself, seeping through the logs and caving out the middle of the wood. It emitted a heated scent; one that reminded me of the one camp I went to as a child.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'The Cloverfield Paradox (2018)'
A boring and uninspired prequel... I could write a better fucking origin story than this. Fuck, I DID write a better origin story than this. I mean, I had to clean it up so I didn't get sued, but if you read through it, you can kinda figure out what inspired it. Check it out in my notes in the link attached.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'The Ritual' (2017)
Alright. I'm going to tell you right now that you should watch this. IF FOR NOTHING ELSE, for the neat beastie with a well-developed mythos. But honestly, it was actually quite good, if even a little simple and formulaic. But remember, simple and formulaic is sometimes a good thing.

Krampus (Pt. 2)
I thought back to that first memory. The memory I was sure started the slow, but treacherous, path into a dark abyss. A cold wind blew howled inside of me. Swirling through my hollowed legs, up through the gaping hole where my heart used to beat, through my neck, and into the cramped, leaky spaces in my head. No one wanted me. But soon enough that wouldn’t matter. They would come to fear me instead.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Pumpkinhead' (1988)
God, I love this movie. First off, Pumpkinhead is one of the all-time greatest rubber monsters ever created. The practical effects are what this movie is all about. I mean, yeah they can be a little hokey, but that's why they used the setting and filters they did. Using the atmosphere by layering it over the practical effects really made this movie. It’s just a damn cool monster.

Denton, Texas—Nov. 1958 The sun had set hours before, it was now 11:55 pm. The kids slowly made their way to the mouth of the bridge, illuminating it in the cool November evening. They were nervously joking and shoving each other toward it, in the distance they hear the church bell begin to chime Midnight and they all freeze in their tracks. One of the boys shove the girl in front of him toward the bridge, She lets out a startled cry and a sob as she looks back at the group of kids staring at her.
