Killing Spree
Stabbing the knife deep into her side, continuously pulling my hand up with the knife and forcefully pushing it back down. Seeing the dark red blood drip onto my fingers. I tightly grip the handle harder as I slide the knife out of her lifeless body. Feeling my body, I instantly stand up and slowly walk out of her house as if I were in a trance. The blade slowly dripping of her red blood all the way to her door and down her front steps. Beginning to shuffle my bare feet one at a time on the rough asphalt road all the way back home. Not breaking out of the trance, I opened the door of my messy home and went to the kitchen, starting to feel my blood stained clothes beginning to stick to my body. I pull off my shirt and gently wipe my bloody hands on it. Bending over I slipped my pants off and throw them in the trash, along with my bloody knife. I scrubbed my hands raw, sliding new clothes on as I crawled back in bed falling into a deep sleep.

Book Review: 'Brotherhood of the Wheel' by R.S. Belcher
If you are a fan of modern urban fantasy/horror and don’t know the name R.S. Belcher, allow me to introduce you. If you do know Belcher, congratulations on being one of the cool kids. But don’t worry, we can all be cool kids together in our enjoyment of some very fine lit. Brotherhood of the Wheel is one of my absolute favorite urban fantasy novels for several nuanced reasons.

The Land of the Surviving
Across the ocean and beyond the treacherous mountaintops lay a small village that was lost and forgotten. Some of the most unspeakable events happen there. The things you only hear about in fairy tales. Werewolves chasing the vampires, statues coming to life, and even the ax murders in the woods and much more happen here in the Land of the Surviving. Everyone thinks it is just an old abandoned town, but they will never know the truth.

Grave
Thunder rings in the distance, a low rumbling sound. I stand amidst the buildings of a small town, the inhabitants laying now in their beds, oblivious to their peril. The storm is coming, the dawn breaks upon a new day, but the light of the sun shines here no longer—the storm robs them of its rays. The neon lights of the diner illuminate much of this small town, and the rain falls heavily upon the pavement of the road through the small hamlet.

Laughter
Everyone else was laughing. From the moment I walked into the room and I couldn't understand why. Were they laughing at me? Did I walk in funny? Is there something wrong with the way I look that I didn't notice before I left the house? Or did something just happen before I walked in that everyone found hilarious? I approach one of my buddies so I can get clued in to the big joke.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Don't Kill It' (2016)
This movie was made for riffing... Or, at least it had better have been, that's what I spent the whole movie doing. This movie was utter nonsense and Dolph Lundgren's cowboy accent is its icing on the cake. If the person who directed this expected anything less than riffing gold, I’m not sure what he was trying to accomplish.

Diana from 'Lights Out'
In 2016 I went with my boyfriend and two other friends to see the movie Lights Out, a PG-13 horror movie about a brother and sister who are targeted by what seems to be a malicious ghost from their mother's past. However, having seen the movie since, there are a few things that have come to bother me about the so-called ghost, Diana. The ultimate question came to my head: What is Diana? (SPOILERS AHEAD!)

They Want You
I’m sitting in my living room when I hear it, laughing. The sounds of whispering and laughing. I get up and I go to investigate. I call Roy and grab his leash, “We are going for walk buddy,” I say gingerly. I see my flashlight and pick it up on my way out the door. We head towards the back of the house and there is nobody there, so we cover the whole front and back. Nobody. My land is huge and I have woods that go a few hundred feet back, but I never go in there. The woods have always been eerie. I have never really been fond of them and I always feel like I am being watched. I go to head back inside when I see a pile of rocks stacked in front of my door. “What’s this?” I wonder out loud. I don’t remember them being there when I left. I move the pile of rocks over with my foot and we go inside. I settled back into the couch with my dog.
