Can't Sleep
I don't know what it is... but I can't sleep. Let me explain. I've been living alone for awhile, but I haven't felt alone. My house is in a strange part of town, further from civilization than I'd like to be, but I can't afford anything better right now, and I can't make more money because there is no such thing as getting sleep. Not for weeks. I just don't know what it is.

Homage to Horror: A Review of 'Pumpkin Night'
In a effort to expand into other new horror manga, not just Junji Ito, I spent the last couple of months reading almost anything I came across. Some honorable mentions include Happiness (Shuzo Oshimi), Kiriko Kills' (Shingo Honda), and Killing Morph (Masaya Hokazono), but nothing entertained me more than Pumpkin Night. This manga is currently on-going and this review contains some spoilers!

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Dark Waters' (1994)
The opening of this movie sets the bar so low, you don't expect much of this movie. That makes it pleasantly surprising that the rest of the movie is pretty good. Of course, the rest of this movie is still begging to be riffed, but it's still a pretty good movie. The ending is a bit predictable, the practical FX are absolute garbage, and the rubber monster is downright silly, but everything else is okay.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Deep Star Six' (1989)
You know how you know it's an 80s horror? Only one black actor and he doesn't live past the halfway mark. That aside, I love a good rubber monster! This was one of my favorite movies back when I was a kid, and if you look past the fact that it's would be pretty low budget even for back in the days, it's actually not half bad even by nowadays standards. Actually, it's even pretty good for the K-Mart version of "Leviathan." Seeing as Leviathan is the K-Mart version of "The Abyss."

Emily Carroll Imagines Girlhood with Teeth
Next month, horror artist Emily Carroll will be coming out with a new comic titled When I Arrived at the Castle. It's a gothic lesbian vampire comic, a sentence in which every word gets more and more exciting. In anticipation for this release, I am going to be looking back at Carroll's previous comic, Through the Woods.
