Running Round Red Mountain
A white-tailed deer drinks water from a pond in the middle of the forest. Suddenly, she snaps her head up, the silence that usually fills her home is broken by a strange humming sound. It spooks her, she dashes away from the pond and across a road home free to the other side. In the distance, a white van comes driving up the road. After about half a mile the van begins to slow down, coming to a stop. The driver cuts off the engine and the double doors in the back of the van swing open. A young woman emerges from inside; looking around, she takes a deep breath and hops out into the street. She then continues to scan the perimeter while walking up the road. Behind her, a large man exits the van from the passenger side, he grabs something out of the glove box and puts it over his head. The girl turns around to face her associate, who was adjusting the mask he had just put on. "This is it Henry, it's perfect," she said, clapping her hands together.

KILLERS ANONYMOUS
I sat in the room, journal in hand. The air con was broken and it was exceedingly warm. It’s typical; we’re finally given good weather, and I was soon to be stuck in a room with five killers, who were coming for the new government initiative – Killers Anonymous. I sipped on my coffee from the Vendor. Disgusting stuff. I’m not sure why they couldn’t have a Nespresso Zenius. They’re only four-hundred pounds.

The Zombie Hunt
After the initial attack, things at Shadowood calmed down. Lauren, however, wasn’t happy when she heard that Evan had left my side. In fact when I told her the story after getting back to the fieldhouse she slapped him. I remember Evan holding his hand to his reddening face, and I got the sense that even before the apocalypse, Evan wasn’t used to being hit.

'Gretel and Hansel' Review—Dreadfully Pretentious
After having to suffer through nightmarishly bad January movies such as The Turning and Dolittle, I thought it was over. I saw the light at the end of the tunnel, and I believed my days of torture would soon be over; but before my release, I had to endure one more horror movie.

Mother
Mother By Amanda Orive. There was a weight that had sat in her stomach for years. Some days it was heavier than on others, but most days, upon waking, it made itself known to her. It never went anywhere. In a way, she had known loyalty in it, though sickeningly. She longed for ignorance. “I still think about it sometimes.” Inhaling her cigarette, “I just don’t talk about it anymore.”

Harbinger
Sarah screamed from where she was bound and held down, her red eyes glittering with tears of fright, the hot salt-water trickling down her cheeks, the frigid air nearly freezing the skin where the liquid touched her. The jaws of terror held her fast, despite her struggle against her physical bonds.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Suspiria' (2018)
My fucking god... where do I even begin? What an absolutely stunning movie. Everything from the dance choreography to the setting, to the story. There was only a solitary moment that was out of place and I'm really pulling hairs to be critical of even that!
