This is my own personal list to who I think are some of the best actors of our time. I’m focusing on my personal top 5 actors as of right now, since I’ve been a huge fan of their work so far.

I’m aware how random this article is, but I have really wanted to talk about this for a long time. I love watching these actors on screen, and I can’t wait to see more of their work in the future!

5. Joseph Quinn (First discovered him in the fourth season of Stranger Things).

Joseph Quinn immediately captured my attention when I first found him in the horror genre. His acting is so damn good for someone who is now making it big in the acting industry. He’s so good at conveying emotions when it comes to his characters.

He can play a sweet dude in the prequel of A Quiet Place: Day One, and he can play a crazy psychopathic emperor that watches people kill each other in the arena in Gladiator 2.

I want to see this guy play more villains, something tells me that this guy can pull off playing a terrifying monster…

4. Tom Hiddleston (First discovered him in The Night Manager).

I always thought that Tom Hiddleston was a unique kind of actor. Watching him perform is so interesting, he has a way with expressing the emotions of his characters through only his eyes!

The performance that blew me away was when he was working undercover to stop an evil bastard from selling weapons of mass destruction in The Night Manager.

He was a normal dude who was working in a hotel, but once someone he cared for got murdered by monsters, he was willing to become a completely different person to take revenge on what he lost.

I loved how he switched from a sweet caring guy to a man hell bent on revenge!

3. Cillian Murphy (First discovered him in 28 Days Later).

Cillian Murphy shocked me the first time I watched him in Peaky Blinders. I knew this guy was a great actor, but this was next-level acting that proved to me that this dude can act! How he was able to play a cutthroat gangster with somewhat of a heart was beyond me!

I thought it was so awesome that a horror movie is how I found this dude. I love Murphy so much because I feel that he is willing to take on any project. While for me he will always be Thomas Shelby from Peaky Blinders, I will always remember him in 28 Days Later.

I also loved his character in Inception and The Party. He is so good at playing a dude who is freaking out in crazy situations lol.

2. Paul Ready (First discovered him in The Terror).

I honestly have no idea how this guy hasn’t won an Oscar already. I just recently found him in one of the best horror shows ever made called, The Terror. He played a man that refused to break throughout his horrible endeavors, even though he knew his chances of survival were quite slim.

Then I freaked out when I recently got into a show called Motherland, where he plays a lovable goofball that is kind of dumb, but has a good heart. I couldn’t believe that he had played these two characters back-to-back while filming both shows! Dude is seriously talented.

I also saw him clips of him from another show called Utopia, where he played a dude named Lee, who was a psychopath. He scared the crap out of me with that one, and wow…he should 100% play more psychos!

1. Benedict Cumberbatch (First discovered him in Sherlock).

I cannot stress enough how much I love this guy’s acting. He is my most favorite actor of all time. When I first found him in Sherlock, I was pretty impressed with how he was able to play such a complicated character. Sherlock never liked showing his human side to anyone, and it was crazy how he was able to pull that off!

Then when I watched his villain arc in The Hollow Crown, I couldn’t believe it was the same guy. He played one of the most despicable villains that I was hoping would die throughout the entire show. He played a monster that wanted power in his kingdom, and was willing to murder family members that cared for him to make his dream come true.

How this man hasn’t won an Oscar is INSANE. Dude keeps getting robbed!
