KDB as he is fondly called has once again proved why he is regarded as the best midfielder in the world. He pushed Manchester City through the finish line in an intriguing campaign that saw him amass 10 goals and 31 assists in the process. His outrageous strike in the first leg against Real Madrid helped City to claim a famous 1-1 draw against the Spanish giant before City eventually demolished the Spanish team 4-0 in the 2nd leg at the Etihad Stadium.

He has been deployed in the central defence and left-back position all through the season. He was one of the unsung heroes in the Istanbul finals of the UEFA Champions League.
