A Wall Street Alternative
The blood rolled down my arm as I nursed my finger. This was not the first time I had hurt myself with my own hand hammer. I walked over to the doctor’s office to have it sewn up. Doc had his back to the door when I came in. He turned around and smiled. “Again Joshua?” He asked. “Ya doc, this is a good one”. It took eight stitches to close the wound and after thanking doc, I walked back to my blacksmith shop. This order for the Daltons hoe must be done this afternoon. I also have three horses to be shod tomorrow. “Well, better busy than no work at all”, I thought out loud. Some of the farmers had lost their crops to bad weather on the outside of Black River Falls. Such is life in Wisconsin in 1848.

The Enigma Unveiled: Agatha Christie's Mysterious Disappearance
During the early 1900s, a notable shift occurred in the landscape of journalism, particularly in the realm of reporting. This era marked a significant increase in the number of women entering the field, carving out their own path as professional journalists. Breaking free from traditional gender roles, these pioneering women challenged societal norms and shattered glass ceilings, forging a new frontier for their gender in the world of news reporting. If I had been born in that era, I would envision myself as one of these trailblazing women, driven by a relentless passion for the truth, a hunger for justice, and a desire to give voice to the underrepresented. With a notepad in hand and a hat adorned with a press card, I would immerse myself in the world of reporting, fearlessly navigating the challenges that awaited me, striving to make a lasting impact and leave a legacy for future generations of female journalists.

A Dangerous Element
Evelyn tucked her black, chin length hair behind her ears as she concentrated on the task before her: painting the numbers on a clock face with luminous radium based paint. The allure of the pale green glowing substance, advertised as a miracle cure-all was somewhat lost on her. She never cared much for fads. She did try some radium infused toothpaste just to see what all the fuss was about, but it seemed to her that it was not much different than regular toothpaste. Putting that aside, this job was the most coveted, highest paying job a young woman of her status could get and Evelyn was driven to succeed.

A journey into my past life as Nefertari
I had always felt a strong connection to ancient Egypt, even as a young girl. I was fascinated by the intricate hieroglyphics and the elaborate artwork that adorned the temples and tombs. Always feeling like I had lived a past life in that ancient land, but never truly believed it until one day, when I visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York City.

Who Are the Monsters of Beowulf?
The Epic of Beowulf Beowulf is an Old English epic poem written by an anonymous Anglo-Saxon poet in England sometime between the 8th and 11th centuries. It tells the story of the Geat hero Beowulf who aids the king of Danes Hrothgar in exterminating Grendel, a monster plaguing the great hall Heorot. Beowulf slays Grendel by ripping off his arm. When Grendel's mother finds out that her son was slain she kills Hrothgar’s closest advisor as revenge. In response, Beowulf travels to her lair and slays her, bringing back Grendel’s head as a trophy. Beowulf is rewarded greatly for his efforts and returns home to Gautland, eventually becoming its king.
