The local pub looked unrecognisable with the shimmering lights and elegant decorations, echoing with laughter and chatter as guests mingled, celebrating Eliza’s 18th birthday. Her radiant smile lit up the room, but behind her sparkling eyes lay a shadow of sorrow that never quite faded. As the evening progressed, she found herself surrounded by friends and family, showering her with gifts and well-wishes. Each present unwrapped brought a momentary distraction from the haunting memories that lingered in the corners of her mind. Amidst the pile of brightly wrapped packages, one gift caught her attention- a small, intricately wrapped box with no name tag. Curiosity piqued, she carefully peeled back the layers of wrapping paper, revealing a polished wooden box engraved with delicate patterns that gave her an uneasy sense of familiarity.

The Mysterious Disappearance of the Jamison Family: A Cold Case Deep Dive. Content Warning.
On October 8th 2009, the Jamison Family vanished after leaving their home in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Only a few days after they were last seen, police found the family truck near the San Bois mountains in Latimer County, Oklahoma. The family dog was found in the back seat, barely alive and very malnourished along with, all the family’s belongings, phones, ID’s and $32,000 in cash. Police found this strange as both parents were registered as on disability allowance at the time. They were also considering buying 40-acres of land near Red Oak but So, where did the money come from? Although an extensive police investigation was carried out, no evidence was found to indicate what happened to them. So, unfortunately, the case went cold.

Murder In The Family By Cara Hunter
So, I have a confession to make. I had not read a book in close to 10 years because I didn’t ever feel the need too. As soon as I left school, I put reading behind me and never looked back, until recently. I had some extra money, a suggestion for a book that was right down my alley from my boyfriend and went for it. I lost myself in this book, something I am not used to doing but very much enjoyed. This book had such a unique concept to it that I had no chance in resisting as soon as I opened the front cover and turned that first page, I was hooked.

The Journey Of A Lifetime
Around 3 years ago, I was 19/20 and not sure what I wanted to do with my life. There was quite a lot of uncertainty that would circle around in my head a lot of the time. One day, my boyfriend gave me the suggestion of writing down the thoughts that were making me feel stuck. So, I opened a notebook and started to write. It gave me a sense of relief that I hadn’t felt before. It made me feel like I could finally communicate what I was thinking, something I have struggled with for a while, something I have been doing my best to work on. This experience is what made me decide to post my very first vocal piece called “Family Isn’t Always Forever.”

The chains were long enough so that John and Michael could only just see out of the small circular window on the far wall but because Wendy was closest to the door, she could never see anything but the four walls that surrounded her. Most nights, Wendy would be visited by her father which always made her sad the next day.
