In a shocking and heartbreaking turn of events, Vikas Sethi, the versatile actor best known for his roles in popular Indian television serials and the iconic film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, passed away due to a cardiac arrest on Saturday night. He was just 48 years old. Sethi’s sudden demise has sent waves of grief through the entertainment industry, as well as among his fans and loved ones.
Vikas Sethi was a well-known face in the Indian television industry, having portrayed significant characters in hit serials like "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi", "Kahiin To Hoga", and "Sasural Simar Ka". The Tragic Incident
According to his wife, Jhanvi Sethi, the actor’s untimely demise occurred while they were in Nashik attending a family function. The couple had traveled to Nashik to be with family, and after reaching her mother’s house, Vikas began to experience health issues. He suffered from vomiting and loose motions, which raised concern among his family members. Despite his deteriorating condition, Sethi was reluctant to go to the hospital, preferring instead to be treated at home.
Jhanvi recounted the tragic sequence of events, saying, “After we reached my mother’s house in Nashik, he started having vomiting and loose motions. He didn’t want to go to the hospital, so we asked the doctor to come home.” She continued, “When I went to wake him up at around 6 am in the morning on Sunday, he was no more. The doctor told us he passed away last night in his sleep due to cardiac arrest.”
This devastating loss has left the family in deep sorrow. Vikas Sethi’s mortal remains were subsequently sent to Mumbai's Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of death. The post-mortem is a standard procedure in cases of sudden death, especially when the individual is relatively young and the death is unexpected.
