Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 3 Trailer Explained
Jackie Says There Will Be Retaliation

A trailer for Yellowjackets season three is released, hinting at what can be expected in this season and the remaining episodes. The popular series has come back and is still exploring two timelines: the one in which the teenagers are stuck in the wilderness and the one in which the survivors are still dealing with their trauma 25 years later. In the season 3 episode 2 finale of The Yellowjackets, Melissa (Jenna Burgess) and teenage Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) share a kiss, while adult Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) is being stalked by an enigmatic figure.
A trailer for Yellowjackets' upcoming third episode and beyond has now been released. Shauna sees a vision of the dead Jackie (Ella Purnell), who forebodingly warns that she and the survivors will face consequences for their actions in the wilderness as well as their actions since returning. In the current timeline, Taissa (Tawny Cypress) is once more eating dirt, and Shauna's daughter Callie (Sarah Desjardins) wonders if her mother is a bad person. Teenage Lottie (Courtney Eaton) previously asserts that the survivors are unable to return home. View the trailer below on insta
The Implications for Season 3 of Yellowjackets
The trailer makes it clear that the third season premiere of Yellowjackets is just a sneak peek at what's to come. The trailer's most notable moment is when Lottie declares that the teenage survivors are no longer welcome there and cannot return. Lottie's statement is similar to that of John Locke (Terry O'Quinn) in Lost, who claimed that he and other characters were not supposed to leave the Island, causing a rift among the survivors of the Oceanic Flight 815 plane crash. There might be a split in Yellowjackets season 3 between those who wish to leave and those who wish to remain in the wilderness.
Although the helicopter may be part of the current timeline, a shot of one suggests that rescue may occur this season. The situation with Shauna's enigmatic stalker is confirmed to worsen in the 25-year-later story, forcing her to seek assistance from Misty (Christina Ricci) and Walter (Elijah Wood). Given that adult Natalie (Juliette Lewis) is no longer present to share scenes with Misty, this plotline presents new opportunities to examine character relationships. However, Callie is more cautious of her mother than ever before, so Shauna is not just at risk from the stalker.
The trailer for Season 3 Episode 3 of Our Take on the Yellowjackets
Episode 3 of Yellowjackets is set to heighten the tension in this season. I find Taissa eating dirt once more and Lottie attempting to persuade her peers that they should remain in the wilderness to be the most intriguing of all the hints about what lies ahead. This season might finally provide answers to the long-standing Taissa mysteries, especially in light of this shot of Taissa and the Man with No Eyes' brief appearance in the season 3 premiere.
Getting more of Purnell in the show is most welcome, especially as a manifestation of Shauna's subconsciousness believing that she and the other survivors deserve their current suffering.
The fact that adult Shauna continues to see Jackie suggests that she is still dealing with the trauma and guilt she feels for her part in her best friend's demise. It's great to see more Purnell in the show, especially since it reflects Shauna's subconscious belief that she and the other survivors are deserving of their current predicament. Regarding the past, Lottie's statement sparks an alluring new conflict, particularly following the girls' reconciliation in the season 3 premiere. The fact that Lottie is one of the people who are eventually rescued in Yellowjackets adds complexity to this plot.
