Will Thanos Return in Squid Game 3?
Choi Seung-hyun, who played the role of Thanos, actually the character of Thanos is inspired by his real life.

So Squid Game Season 2 ended on a very suspenseful note, but many events in this season left a lot of questions in the mind whose answers we will get only in Season 3.
Some of the most debated ones include:
- Whether Thanos is alive, and whether will he return in Season 3
- What was wrong with Player 388, i.e., Dae-ho? Why did he leave Gi-hun and his team at the last moment?
- Who is Player 100? Could he secretly be a VIP?
Today we will discuss the answers to all these questions, so stay connected till the end.
Spoilers Warning: If you have not yet watched Squid Game Season 2 or the Squid Game series, then this topic is not for you. In case you don't mind spoilers, then you can happily continue reading.
So, in Season 2 of Squid Game, we got to see many new characters, and one of these characters that became very popular was Thanos.
Choi Seung-hyun, who played the role of Thanos, actually the character of Thanos is inspired by his real life.
Just like Thanos, Seung-hyun was a singer in real life and his stage name was T.O.P.
T.O.P was a victim of drug addiction and he has been in prison for a long time, due to which he had to face a lot of backlash in real life.
Thanos was a very violent character in the show and as you must have seen, he used to play these horrifying games with great fun. During the games, he used to make sure that the other players got killed so that the prize money increased even more.
Thanos and his friends are on the O team, and when they force the members of the X team to change their votes so that the games can continue and people get killed, a fight starts between the two teams.
Thanos attacks Myung-gi and tries to kill him, but at the same time, Myung-gi inserts a fork deep into his throat, and Thanos is killed.
Now we are not shown what happened to Thanos' body.
But why did such an important character end so soon? Regarding this, the director of this show, Hwang Dong-Hyuk, says that Thanos' death is going to be a turning point in this story. Thanos is also one of his favourite characters and this was the right time for Thanos to leave.
And if we watch till Season 3, we will feel that Thanos is still present in the story in some way because his death affects the story of Season 3.
Well, I have heard that the tone of Season 3 is going to be quite dark and violent, and this has happened somewhere due to Thanos' death because only after this event did the other players come to know that even if players die outside the games, money will be added to their pot.
So, right after this event, the players of O team attack X team at night and kill many players.
Gi-hun takes advantage of this and does not save the players of his team so that later when the guards come there to take the bodies of the dead people, then he can attack those guards.
Talking about Thanos, Thanos is now dead, but his friend Nam-gyu is still alive, and it is possible that Nam-gyu will now play the game with the same aggression as Thanos used to play.
And Nam-gyu will take revenge on Myung-gi because he killed Thanos.
So, the cycle of aggression that Thanos started will not stop now; that is why Season 3 is going to be even more brutal.
Player 388 (Dae-ho): A Hidden Agenda?
Now let's come to Player 388 i.e. Dae-ho was a part of Gi-hun's team and was supporting him.
In the beginning, Dae-ho showed his Marine tattoo and said that he was earlier in the military.
Dae-ho supported Gi-hun in many games and fearlessly but in the end moment when his team needed him the most, he was not able to support them at that time Dae-ho himself had told the other players that he would go and bring extra bullets, the other players were dependent on him and because of that they lost their lives.
When Dae-ho is going up with the bullets, if that scene is watched and understood carefully, then it seems as if he has done all this intentionally, he intentionally throws away that communication device and does not even take the bullets.
If Dae-ho had reached on time with those bullets, then those players would have been able to fight those guards and they would not have been killed at all.

Seeing this scene, it seems that whatever Dae-ho has said about his identity till now is all a lie. He may have been in cahoots with the organizers of the game, and hence, he was asked to participate in the game to spoil Gi-hun's plan, or it is also possible that he remembered some dramatic incident and hence was unable to help his team.
What do you think, is Dae-ho really in cahoots with the organizers of the game? Do tell me your thoughts in the comments.
Player 100: A Secret VIP?
Player number 100 is an old businessman who wants to play the game at any cost.
Theories are coming out that Player 100 is a VIP. First of all, he is an old man, just like VIPs and on top of that, he is also very arrogant, which matches the attitude of VIPs.
While most people want this game to be ended, Player 100 wants the game to not stop at any cost so that people get killed and money keeps increasing.
Player number 100 has a total debt of 10 billion wons which cannot be on a common man, hence theories are coming that Player 100 must be a VIP who must be betting on players and he must have lost all the money during betting due to which he got into so much debt and he must have participated in this game only to pay back that money.
If Player 100 turns out to be a VIP, then Gi-hun's problems can increase even more.
What’s Next in Season 3?
By the way, Jo Yuri, who has played the character of Jun-Hee, who is pregnant, says that many of the predictions that people are making about Season 3 are wrong because the final season is going to be very brutal and cruel.
By the way, the ending of Season 1 was also quite brutal and tragic.
In Season 1, Gi-hun loses his friends and wins the prize money; after coming home, he finds out that his mom has died.
Similarly, the ending of Season 3 is also going to be dark.
Many players will die in Season 3 as well, but such theories are coming that Jun-Hee, that pregnant lady, will survive till the end because people say that Jun-Hee is pregnant, and that is why the writers will not kill the pregnant lady because it is considered taboo in South Korea.
Plus, that shaman lady named Seon-nyeo also predicted, looking at Jun-Hee, that Gi-hun is still alive because there is a purpose he has to fulfil.
Maybe Gi-hun will save Jun-Hee's life and in the end Jun-Hee will survive.
By the way, what do you think about this, do tell me in the comments.
