Wicked: for Good

I knew this would happen, first of all and most OBVIOUSLY... it's not "wicked for good" it's "Wicked: for Good" punctuation means something. Secondly, what makes Elphaba actually Wicked? What does she DO that is actually evil? Tell me you don't know what you're talking about even harder because you clearly did not even google search the thing you are talking about at all, this is so stupid

The ENTIRE point here is that Elphaba is not wicked, she is ONLY CALLED the "wicked witch" by other people, starting with the actually EVIL GENOCIDAL MANIAC PRETENDING to be the good guy... duh, the point is that she actually is NOT Wicked, you moron

even in the original source material we don't even know what makes her so bad besides wanting her dead sister's shoes that legally should have been hers and not some strangers, but okay... and Glinda is good? How? she sends a child off to a man who is LYING about who he is to an entire country and he tells the child to KILL someone? that's good?? what people DO and how they ACT actually matters

But Wicked is not even that, it's a different story and Elphaba is by far not evil but she's not good either, she's just a human

this version of the story tells about how people can pretend to be good and turn everyone against entire groups of people and/or one person just through LIES AND PROPAGANDA

The people of OZ are scared of the "Wicked Witch" because they are told to be for no reason other than the lies of the wizard and madam morrible...

they are committing genocide against the Animals, just like real life with the many marginalized people being vilified... and it is especially easy to turn people against Elphaba because she is green... and people are scared of what is different and the people who go against what's popular and traditional and those who rebel against authority... it's not like this whole freaking thing is a metaphor for like all of human history and our current problems...

But it's not saying the Wicked is good, it's saying that people can be lied to and hate or fear the wrong person (or Animals aka marginalized groups)... that's the POINT OF THE ENTIRE THING

Try actually reading the book that was written two decades ago that this movie was based on before you pretend like it's some new conspiracy to confuse the kids. This movie is not even a kids movie, by the way. Or at the very least read a summary of what it is about. You couldn't even bother reading the title properly. As I said it's not "wicked for good"

it's "Wicked: for good" as in "Wicked (full stop): (new statement) for Good" which is part of the song, the lyrics are "because I knew you, I have been changed for good" which not only doesn't mean what you are pretending like it does because it's not saying "let's make wickedness good" it's saying "I have been changed for the better" but also "I have been changed permanently"

How the actual nonsense that was that post got 'top story' baffles me. NO research was done whatsoever on the thing you were bashing. NONE! and then comments were disabled and hidden because everyone with any sense will tell you that you are wrong about this movie in so many ways.
