"Why must you be stupid 100% of the time" - Yemi Alade blows hot
Yemi Alade is angry

Yemi Alade is angry.
She's angry at the media once again. If you’re a follower of Nigerian entertainment news or a fan of Yemi Alade in general, then you know that she has always had a very love-hate relationship with media outlets especially blogs and digital magazines.
In a famous instance – one that I still find to be one of the funniest Yemi Alade rants because…well, you’ll see – she goes off on an interviewer who had done a radio interview with her only to go on and publish the piece which said in part that Yemi Alade said quote:
It was not an easy road to get to where I am now. I give God the glory. I still plan to read music someday and add to my knowledge. Now, I'm passionate about music. My management, headed by Taiwo Alli, has been working hard to push my music and my brand and it is yielding results now. We are doing better music now and shooting better videos. But the beginning was rough as expected. I did seven years of free shows going from one club to the other and selling myself," she stated.

"SELLING MYSELF" 😂🤣 This is too funny to me. As you can imagine, Yemi Alade did not like any of this at all especially the part where they said that she was “selling herself”. She reacted saying:
What is this last sentence about? What is this entire article about? Why would you request for a recorded interview and still fix in your own words! What is all this! What does it mean to sell ones self at the club!!!!! Who is this!! Who wrote this article! Do you need hearing aid? Pls pls pls…don’t abuse the quotation mark! Quote people or just write speculations!!!! To whom it may concern, this write up doesn’t even have ¼ of my “untouched sentences” Not one sentence was left untouched….good luck with this jabajantics.

Wow, even just re-writing and re-reading that, I was dying of laughter. Nigerian reporters are forever my favorite types of comedians. FOREVER!
Well, Yemi Alade is once again angry with the media and this time, it is again because of an interview she granted that has become misconstrued. Are you ready to see today’s rant? Then let’s go!

Yemi Alade is angry once again.
On February 4th, the award winning singer took to Twitter to blow hot and express her frustration in a tweet writing:
I will no longer Be giving full details about a collaboration I have with a certain female artist I love and have idolised since my teenage years! All these blogs do is construct Clout thirsty headlines!Steady putting women against women! Why must you be STUPID 100%OF THE TIME

Many people were confused about what or who the tweet was about. As usual, many people immediately begun to speculate that the ordeal had to do in some way with fellow Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage.

But this has nothing to do with Tiwa Savage or any other Nigerian artiste. The female artiste Yemi Alade has idolized and believes she's being pitted against is American singer, Beyonce.

Three days prior to her rant, on February 1st, blogs and media outlets started pushing headlines which read “How I ignored Beyonce for two months – Yemi Alade”.

Now, this headline is quite misleading because I listened to this interview many months ago and what she says in it is that they got an e-mail from Parkwood Entertainment (Beyonce's company) but thought that surely it couldn’t be real and so didn’t take it seriously only for them to later on realize months later that it was in fact Beyonce’s real company. Once they realized it, they immediately responded and that's how Yemi's collaboration on the Black is King project came to be. Are these headlines a lie? Technically no. She did ignore the e-mail for two months but only because she thought it was a scam e-mail. Is the headline misleading? Absolutely yes! It makes it sound like Yemi Alade deliberately ignored Beyonce for two months which she never said she did.
Seeing that Yemi has idolized Beyonce since she was much younger, these headlines are annoying her. That's the reason she's blowing hot.
Sorry Yemi, no vex! 😂
That’s All.
