What if Season 13 of RPDR was the 1st All-Stars Season?
Which are the 14 most influential Queens who would be part in such a cast?

Recently, I started watching America's Next Top Model (again), which reminded me that the biggest reality model competition (consisting of 24 Cycles), had only ONE All-Stars Season! Cycle 17 of ANTM, featured the 14 most popular participants of the show, up to that point.
So, I couldn't help but wonder, what if Season 13 of Rupaul's Drag Race, was the first, and only, All-Stars Season and which 14 Drag Queens would be casted, who did not manage to snatch the crown but snatched the hearts of the audience?

So let's get this started.
1. Raven

That's so Raven!
Season 2/ Placement: Runner Up
Maxi Challenges Won: 2
Current Instagram following: 560K
Most memorable moment: When she said this about her cast-mate Tatianna: "Her interview was shit, her look was shit, her book cover was shit, her trying to launch and sell the book to the judges was shit, she's shit."
Even after all these years, Raven has managed to stay as one of the most relevant and talked-about Queens of the franchise. She has the most iconic mug on the history of the show (that later on lead her to even become RuPaul's makeup artist), her vitriolic quotes are legendary and she is currently co-hosting the popular weekly YouTube series Fashion Photo RuView with Season's 3 Winner, Raja Gemini. I see Raven going very far on this made-up All-Stars Season, with her quick wit and intimidating look. I do not know if she would win, but she would make a fabulous first runner-up.
2. Shangela

Halleloo!
Season 2/ Placement: 12th, Season 3/ Placement: 6th
Max Challenges Won: 2
Current Instagram following: 1.4M
Most memorable moment: When she killed that comedy challenge as the only Post-modern Pimp Hoe.
Even though Shangela was the first Queen to Sashay Away on Season 2, she came back for Season 3 and she really made the best out of it. Since the show she has appeared in multiple films and TV shows, she has performed in six of the seven continents, she was handpicked by Lady Gaga herself to cast in her movie "A Star Is Born" and she is the first Drag Queen to step on the Oscars red carpet. Shangela is a triple threat; she can dance, she is a great comedian and can serve a look. She would be a fierce competitor on this fantasy season and even if she loses she would probably be back again for the next one.
3. Manila Luzon

Are you a Heather or a Booger?
Season 3/ Placement: Runner Up
Maxi Challenges Won: 3
Current Instagram following: 1.5M
Most memorable moment: Her iconic lip-sync to "Macarthur Park" by Donna Summer.
Manila is the intersection of fashion and true camp and the original business savage queen. She slayed season 3 with her over the top runways and her effortless sense of humour. After her appearance on the show, she released multiple chart-topping singles, she is one of the most popular Queens of the show and she is currently co-hosting a podcast with Latrice Royale, called "The Chop". I can see Manila going very far on this hypothetical All-Stars Season but I do not think she would win because "Life is not fair!".
4. Latrice Royale

She is large and in charge, chunky yet funky.
Season 4/ Placement: 4th/ Miss Congeniality
Maxi Challenges Won: 2
Current Instagram following: 996K
Most memorable moment: When she won the acting challenge by just staring at the camera and saying: "Get those nuts away from my face!"
Latrice was the sweetheart of Season 4, one the most lovable queens of the show and her shocking elimination brought everyone to tears. During the season, she curated some of the funniest and most wholesome moments with her undeniable stage presence, her memorable lip-syncs and her witty one-liners ("5G's", "Eat It!", "Jesus is a biscuit" etc.). Since the show she has made multiple TV and film appearances and she has been a featured Queen at the Werk The World Tour. Latrice would be a force to be reckoned with and no one would be able to survive a lip-sync against her.
5. Alaska

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!
Season 5/ Placement: Runner Up
Maxi Challenges Won: 2
Current Instagram following: 1.7M
Most memorable moment: When she went down during her perfume commercial and blessed us with the "Your makeup is terrible" line.
Alaska entered the workroom in the shadow of her ex-partner Sharon Needles, who had just won the season before, and left the competition as the biggest fan-favourite of all time. Since the show, she has produced some of the most legendary Drag music videos, she had a successful web series called "Bro'Laska" alongside her brother Corey Binney and she is currently co-hosting her award-winning podcast, called "Race-Chasers" with Season's 4 standout Willam Belli. She is the ultimate Ru-Girl and could definitely be the winner of a star-studded cast like this one (as it has already been proven).
6. Alyssa Edwards

Back Rolls?!?!
Season 5/ Placement: 6th
Maxi Challenges Won: 1
Current Instagram following: 1.8M
Most memorable moment: Her legendary lip-sync against her arch-nemesis Coco Montrese.
The Vanessa Williams of drag, the Abby Lee Miller of drag, a beauty queen, a dancing diva, the tongue-pop originator, a living-legend; it's Alyssa Edwards. Alyssa is one of the show's most memorable contestants; every single moment of her on camera became a meme, every word that came out of her mouth was an instant catch phrase, all of her lip-sync performances are legendary, and her rivalry with fellow contestant Coco Montrese is the most iconic feud since Bette Davis and Joan Crawford's. She is the owner of the Beyond Belief Dance Company and after the show she starred in the hit web series ''Alyssa's Secret", she had her own Netflix Documentary series, called "Dancing Queen", and even has her own eyeshadow palette with Anastasia Beverly Hills. I am not sure how well she would perform on this season, but she would definitely win the crowd.
7. Adore Delano

She's a Libra!
Season 6/ Placement: Runner Up
Maxi Challenges Won: 3
Current Instagram following: 2.1M
Most memorable moment: Her winning verse on the "Oh No She Better Don't" music video for the rap challenge.
Adore was the underdog of Season 6 and the most charismatic Queen that ever walked in the workroom. In 2014 she was even voted as the #1 All-Time Fan-Favourite Drag Queen, because of her incredible vocals, her rebellious aesthetic and her undeniable charm. After the show, she released three top-charting studio albums, she is currently counting 78,300 monthly listeners on Spotify and she is on the top 3 of the most followed Drag Race Queens on Instagram, with 2.1 million followers. Adore has been interviewed on "The View" and has also been a contestant on "Ex on the Beach". No matter what she thinks, hog-body or not, cinched on un-cinched, she would definitely belong on this cast and could walk away with the crown, as well.
8. Trixie Mattel

Oooh HoooNeeey!
Season 7/ Placement: 6th
Maxi Challenges Won: 0
Current Instagram following: 2.2M
Most memorable moment: Her shocking early elimination after being in the bottom 2 with Pearl.
Let's not talk about Trixie's run on her original season, because there is really nothing to talk about (in her own words; "I was just there so Pearl could have a story line"). HOWEVER, Trixie is a true example that the real race starts after the show. Her hit web series "UNHhhh" with Katya became a cultural phenomenon, with each episode surpassing a million views, she is the best Drag Folk musician (and the only Drag Folk musician), she is the first Queen to reach 1 million YouTube subscribers, she has launched her own line of cosmetics called "Trixie Cosmetics" and she has starred in her own documentary called "Moving Parts". I am not sure how well she would perform on this fantasy season of All-Stars, but her being part of the cast would be mandatory because we all love to see beautiful, young, skinny people, fail.
9. Katya

She's 80% Sexy, 20% Disgusting.
Season 7/ Placement: 5th/ Miss Congeniality
Maxi Challenges Won: 2
Current Instagram following: 2.1M
Most memorable moment: Her acceptance speech after she won the DESPY 's award for meatiest tuck, when she said: "I believe it was the great American painter Bob Ross who said: 'The key to a swollen vagina is... courage'."
Her full name might be Yekaterina Petrovna Zamolodchikova but everyone's dad just calls her Katya. She was the lovable weirdo of Season 7; her twisted sense of humour while being unafraid to be vulnerable by opening up about her struggles with sobriety, made her extremely relatable and an instant fan favourite. During her season, Katya was really doubting herself, as she was riddled with anxiety, but after the show she begun hosting the YouTube show "UNHhhh", alongside Trixie Mattel, which catapulted both of them to stardom. Katya might be busy taking over the world at the moment but with her new-found confidence she would be a top contender for the crown on any All-Stars Season.
10. Kim Chi

Donut come for her! (Get it?)
Season 8/ Placement: Runner Up
Maxi Challenges Won: 2
Current Instagram following: 1.9M
Most memorable moment: When she payed homage to her mother with her beautiful series of looks inspired by the life-cycle of plants for the Book Ball Challenge.
Besides being a Korean delicacy, Kim Chi is also the stage name of one of the most influential make-artists that have ever participated on the show. Kim destroyed everyone on Season 8 with her over the top make-up and avant-garde outfits and won the hearts of the audience with her shy yet fun and lovable personality. She is the first Korean-American Drag Queen to appear on American national television and since the show she has performed as part of the Werq the World 2017 Tour, she has appeared in a SuperBowl ad and she has launched her successful cosmetics line called "Kim Chi Chic". Kim Chi would be a great addition to this cast as she would not only slay the runway but also kill a comedy challenge as she has proven with her quick wit and shady remarks throughout Season 8.
11. Shea Couleé

She didn't come to play, SHE CAME TO SLAY!
Season 9/ Placement: 3rd/4th
Maxi Challenges Won: 4
Current Instagram following: 1.4M
Most memorable moment: When she ate the verse at the final challenge for RuPaul's "Category is... (Season 9 Remix)" track.
Shea Shea Shea Couleé, smoother than a motherf*cking creme brûlée. Shea was a front runner on Season 9 and everyone thought the crown was hers until the infamous rosegate happened. She is excellent in every single category; a rare case of someone who is a jack of all trades, and quite honestly, a master of all of them, too. Before the show she was already a fixture of the Chicago nightlife scene and since then, she has starred in her own film called Lipstick City, has released one of the best songs by a Drag artist, entitled Cocky (feat. The Vixen and Lila Star), she made a cameo on Iggy Azalea's music video for "Sally Walker" and was a featured performer in Rihanna's Savage X Fenty Fashion Show Vol. 2. Shea not winning an All-Stars season like this one, wouldn't really make any sense.
12. Valentina

She'd like to keep it on please.
Season 9/ Placement: 7th/ Miss Congeniality
Maxi Challenges Won: 1
Current Instagram following: 1.5M
Most memorable moment: When she didn't know the words to "Greedy" and refused to take her mask off of her face, so RuPaul had to pause the lip sync and confront her, which gave us one of the most dramatic moments in the history of the show.
It's you, Valentina! Maybe she did't manage to go all the way on Season 9 but everyone was still talking about her, from the beginning to the end. From her statuesque beauty, to her highly controversial elimination, to her later on getting voted as "Miss Congeniality", which caused chaos amongst her cast-mates, due to their view that she was unsuitable for a congenial title; Valentina gave us all that telenovela drama we didn't know we needed. Since the show, Valentina has become a social-media sensation, has been featured in Vogue and Vogue Mexico and she has portrayed Angel Dumott Schunard in Fox's televised production of the musical Rent, Rent: Live. I do not think that Valentina would be a top contender for the crown on this All-Stars Season, as the competition seems to be very stiff, but it would still be all about her.
13. Vanessa Vanjie Mateo

Miss Vanjie, Miss Vanjie, Miss... Vanjie...
Season 10/ Placement: 10th, Season 11/ Placement: 5th
Maxi Challenges Won: 0
Current Instagram following: 1.5M
Most memorable moment: The cultural reset caused by the most iconic exit on history of the show, when Vanessa got eliminated on the first episode of Season 10, where she hauntingly walked backwards and said "Miss Vanjie" three times.
Despite being the first to sashay away on Season 10, her backwards exit became the biggest meme of that year, followed by celebrity shout-outs. As Vanessa managed to become an Internet sensation over-night, her return to Season 11 for a second chance, by popular demand, was inevitable. The second time around, Vanessa proved that she was more than a meme, and she redeemed herself, by making it to the Top 5, with her hilarious performances at the challenges and incredible lip-sync abilities. After the show, she was featured on an issue of Gay Times, she appeared on the music video for Iggy Azalea's "Sally Walker" and she is currently a contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race: Live in Las Vegas. Vanessa would be a standout on this made-up All-Stars Season (and hopefully on a real All-Stars Season, soon).
14. Gigi Goode

Goode Morning Campers!
Season 12/ Placement: Runner Up
Maxi Challenges Won: 4th
Current Instagram following: 1.1M
Most memorable moment: Her outstanding performance at the "Madonna: The Unauthorised Rusical" challenge, when she crashed the hopes and dreams of her fellow competitor, Jan.
Is it too soon for Gigi Goode to be on an All-Stars Season? Maybe. Would she probably still win? Yes. Gigi is probably one of the most talented Queens to ever grace the stage of RuPaul's Drag Race; not only did she win 4 Maxi Challenges, but the most prestigious ones as well (The Ball, The Snatch Game, The Rusical and the Finale Challenge), while being only 21 at that moment! Maybe the current pandemic has robbed us from witnessing the Season 12 girls unveiling their true potential post-show, but Gigi kept gracing us with fantastic fashion moments on her social-media platforms, she appeared in Rihanna's 2020 SavagexFenty show along with Jaida Essence Hall and Shea Couleé and she recently won the 2020 People's Choice Award for "Choice Competition Contestant." There is nothing you can name that Gigi can not do successfully, so I'm pretty sure she would be a frontrunner on any future All-Stars Season, including this fake one.
So, what do you think? Would you watch this fantasy All-Stars Season? Or would it be too much for you to take?
