I know I'm late to this and a lottt of people have criticized the movie many times, but I want to share my thoughts and opinions

SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED THOR LOVE AND THUNDER

The Hype

When I first saw that they were making another thor movie with Taika Watiti as the director, Natalie Portman back as Jane Foster, Christian Bale as Gorr The God Butcher, and a cameo from the GOTG, i was insanely hyped, and i wasnt the only one who had high hopes for this movie. I thought there was no way this movie isn't going to be as big and as good as Spiderman No Way Home, this movie was going to be another execllent movie from phase 4, right....

The Experience

I watched it the first day it was released in theaters with my friends, and from the start, i sorta had a bad feeling about this movie, the early reviews were mixed, and the tickets weren't sold out as fast as i thought it was gonna be but i still had high hopes.

When i watched it, i quickly realized that they were going to focus a lot more on the comedy aspect and that made me dread watching the rest of the movie, the jokes are funny at the start but then it just became annoying. I came out of the theater feeling dissatisfied, and disappointed. Why? Well...

A Big Joke

This movie is a jokee, after watching the movie i was so frustrated because they had soooo muchhh potential to make a great movie with heart, drama, action, and comedy instead they made a big middle finger to the audience

Instead of focusing on the characters like Gorr The God Butcher (The most badass villain) played by Christian Bale (Which is the perfect casting), they focused on Screaming Goats, Yup Screaming Goats, for a character named Gorr The God Butcher you would expect to see him butchering gods but nope, they had to make time for dumb jokes. Instead of focusing on Jane Foster coming back and meeting Thor again and how emotional that could have been for them because they haven't met for eight years, they focused on Stormbreaker being jealous over Mjolnir, they could have talked about Loki or Heimdall a bit but nope they just slap a tattoo on Thor's back and called it a day, and they also made Zeus a joke, oh yeah and also look Lady Sif is there for like 2 minutes.

The post-credit scene was also another wasted potential, they should have saved it for when thor dies and he finally gets to meet Odin, Loki, Jane, Heimdall, and the others, you know how emotional that could have been.

Conclusion

Whilst it's not the worst phase four movie of all time, it's definitely not the best. The only slightly good thing about the movie was the ending but the rest is just wasted potential. If you were expecting a heartfelt, drama movie with balanced comedy mixed in like i was then you will be disappointed, but if you were expecting Thor Ragnarok with a meandering plot and dialled the comedy up to 11 and than you might like the movie.
