The Young and the Restless: Diane's return changes everything

The Young and the Restless fans are happy that Jack Abbott ( Peter Bergman) finally is involved in an exciting storyline. Rumors are flying that Michael Mealor is returning as Kyle Abbott and that the soap is looking for a recast for Summer Newman (last played by Hunter King). Spoilers are suggesting that the return of Diane Jenkins ( Susan Walters ) will stir up trouble for Jack, Kyl,e and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) who believes she killed Diane in self-defense. Phyllis Summers ( Michelle Stafford) will also be greatly affected.

There are questions regarding Diane that need answering that have Genoa City residents as well as viewers perplexed. Where has she been all this time and why would she not contact her son and allow Kyle to believe she was dead? Why did she purchase Keemo's (Phillip Moon) home and why is she trying to help Jack bond with his granddaughter Allie (Kelsey Wang)? Diane's return will cause specific problems for Phyllis because of their past history and now Summer will possibly be an issue. Diane may not like her son being married to Phyllis's daughter.

Phyllis and Diane will be at odds

There is also the fact that Phyllis has become close to Jack in recent months. She will view Diane as a threat and become as protective as she is with Summer. Diane obviously has an agenda where Jack is concerned and will not desire Phyllis to get in her way. Y&R fans thought Allie might come to Genoa City but no one saw this twist coming where Jack is concerned. Diane’s return will certainly have Jack front and center especially if she and Phyllis begin playing tug of war. This situation may cause Summer’s mom to reasess how she truly feels about her ex.

Kyle’s mother has a lot of explaining to do but she probably will not divulge all the details of what she has been up to. It’s possible Jack could fall for his son’s mother and Kyle will no doubt have mixed feelings about it all. This should have Jack front and center the way fans have been saying that he should be.

There will be some great scenes with Phyllis and Diane and things could get physical. No details have been revealed but those who watch The Young and the Restless know that fireworks are ahead. Perhaps a catfight will take place between the rivals as happened with Phyllis and fellow redhead Sally Spectra.

Kyle’s life will be turned upside down

Kyle has grieved his mom and had a hard time forgiving Nikki for her death. Finding out she has been alive this entire time will be devastating. What affects Kyle will affect Summer snd put Phyllis in her mama bear mode. This will make for some great drama in Genoa City and keep viewers engaged. Spoilers have suggested that Allie will be coming to town and getting involved with Summer’s brother Noah Newman and if true this will only add to the drama.

There is no way Phyllis will sit back without getting involved especially if she decides Diane is running some type of scam on Jack. If she goes after e Summer will be game over. The return of Ms. Jenkins was unexpected and had viewers wondering what is coming next. Sister soap The Bold and the Beautiful has promised a shocking twist and viewers are wondering what they will offer to top this. Be on the lookout for spoilers and updates related to what Diane is up to and how Jack, Phyllis, Kyle, and Summrr fit into her plans.
