Shemar Moore's history

Shemar Moore is best known for portraying Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless from 1994 to 2005. He was a fan favorite and viewers enjoy whenever he shows up. After leaving the CBS soap, Moore starred as FBI Special Agent Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds from 2005 to 2016.

He left after 11 seasons to pursue new challenges and joined the cast of S.W.A.T. in 2017 as Daniel Hondo Harrelson, and the series finale just recently aired on CBS.

Hondo is a native of South Los Angeles, and a former U.S. Marine. He serves as a sergeant in the LAPD's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) division. He is known for his strong leadership abilities, deep community ties, and unwavering commitment to justice.

Malcolm and Drucilla

On The Young and the Restless Malcolm slept with his brother Neil Winters's (Kristoff St. John) wife, Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell), when she was high on cold medication and thought Malcom was her husband. Nine months after that night, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) was born.

Some Y&R viewers have suggested that Dru, who died when she went over a cliff, might return from the dead, and she and Malcolm could pick up where they left off. The last time Malcolm was in Genoa City was in 2019 for the memorial service for Neil. While on Y&R, Moore was the host of Soul Train from 1999 to 2003.

Rowell said she would love to return to Genoa City but a possible reunion between Dru and Malcolm will not happen anytime soon. Neither will Shemar return alone. Sony Pictures Television has announced that the actor will return as “Hondo” Harrelson in a new spinoff, S.W.A.T. Exiles!

Hondo Harrelson

The character Honndo was born to Daniel Harrelson Sr. and Charice Harrelson in 1974 and raised in a neighborhood with strong gang activity. After the death of a close friend, he turned his life around and enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he served with the 1ST Battallion 9th from 1994 to 1998.

Hondo joined the LAPD, as a patrol officer when his military duty was over. He later became a member of the S.W.A.T team and was promoted to lead the team in 2017.

In the upcoming series, Hondo is pulled out of retirement to lead a new S.W.A.T. unit made up of fresh new recruits. He’ll be forced to deal with the generational gap as he attempts to shape this group of outsiders into a functional team that can protect the city.

Jason Ning created the action drama, but there is no premiere date, and the network where it will air is pending. It's possible the series may not be on CBS, but Sony is marketing it worldwide.

"We are thrilled to usher this beloved franchise into a new era with SWAT Exiles," said Sony Pictures TV chairman Keith Le Goy said in a statement. "We believe in championing powerful storytelling and in our teams' exceptional ability to create and deliver these stories to audiences around the world. This belief is embedded in our DNA and central to every decision we make."

Malcolm Winters is probably not Aristotle Dumas

S.W.A.T.Exiles! will be a direct continuation of S.W.A.T. Be on the lookout for updates about the new series and Shemar Moore. Continue watching The Young and the Restless to learn what happens next in Genoa City for the Winers family. With Moore starring in the spinoff, it's not likely that he is Aristotle Dumas as some viewers have suggested.
