The Strongest Voice that Couldn’t Sing…

The Janet Jackson Documentary Part 2 Recap

Is it too late to change my opinion on Janet Jackson?

I’m not talking about her singing nor her acting ability because I still believe,in my heart of hearts, that they’re both subpar.

She never had a strong singing voice.

Even her speaking voice is annoyingly weak🤣.

Now you got a realize though, I grew up in a household that listened to Chaka Khan and Patti LaBelle.

Janet just doesn’t compare.

And because she isn’t a strong vocalist, I was actually mocking this whole documentary before it even aired saying it was gonna sound like an episode of UnSung where everyone is “legendary”. 🤣

So what does Mc Lyte say about Janet Jackson towards the end of this episode…

She said “Janet Jackson is an amalgamation of everything that is righteous.”

Really?

That’s a bit much, eh?

But after watching the whole documentary, I’ve had a change of heart about Janet as an artist because I didn’t know she actually wrote her songs.

So now, I’m impressed and my bad, Janet.

((hugs)).

But I’ve been wrong a lot lately about artists.

You saw my Billy Porter blog…🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

And up until 2021 , I thought the DeBarges were Puerto Rican and I had no clue they were actual musicians either.

I blame their lack of music videos.🤣

Speaking of the DeBarges, I’m just gonna say as freakin heart wrenching as what happened with her & James was…her story about driving around looking for James does not sound credible in the least.

Ain’t no way little, shy introverted, Janet Jackson went to skid row by herself in the middle of the night searching for James DeBarge.

That story has about as much credibility as she does nose cartilage.

No you didn’t Janet. You couldn’t have.

I texted my bff and she said Janet sent her driver to look for James 🤣🤣🤣.

The following are some random observations:

The way they blackballed Janet over what Michael did to those kids is fucked up.

Never liked Coca Cola anyway, jerks.

Watching them work together gave me all the feels tho.

I think I want my hair cut like Janet’s was in the Scream video.

Tito creeps me out 🤣.

I dunno why, poor man ain’t do shit to me, but when he speaks my face frowns up like he passed gas.

🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

My bad.

Apparently I’ve had a thing for Terry Lewis for quite a while. I can’t figure out what it is about the man but I can’t look at him for too long without blushing & getting butterflies. 🤭

Why was Paula Abdul crying? 🤣🤣🤣.

The cameraman loved Janet’s right eyebrow.

Rene was Spanish Joe Jackson with an opioid addiction.

Jermaine Dupri???

Why don’t I remember them being together???

Where the hell was I , and what was I doing that I don’t remember this happening?

Was I in Omaha?

All the bad things happened when I was in Omaha 🤣.

Not that them getting together was a bad thing, I just don’t think I knew.

And how arrogant does one have to be to cheat on Janet Jackson???

And with who?

And does he regret it?

I wanna meet this girl 🤣 because just seeing her ain’t gonna cut it.

Maybe the girl could sing. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

I’m goin to hell.

But I bet she has nostrils 🤷🏻‍♀️.

And after this, besides the mention of Tupac and that God awful acting role she did in Poetic Justice, I tuned out most,if not the rest, of the documentary 🤣.

But I danced a lot ..

Cuz Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis produced the fuck out da music.

✌🏼💜
