Based on the books by James Dashner, the three Maze Runner movies follow a boy known only as Thomas after he wakes up with no memories in a strange meadow surrounded by a maze, which is inhabited by evil creatures. The Maze is also home to a number of other boys who have experienced the same thing he has, but when a girl named Theresa is sent in, everything changes.
Many of the cast members are familiar, having starred in a number of projects before taking on their roles in the sci-fi trilogy, and some who have broken through to stardom afterward. Here are ten movies and series starring the cast of The Maze Runner.
Dylan O'Brien: Teen Wolf

The role Dylan O'Brien is best known for, apart from Thomas in The Maze Runner, is Stiles Stilinski in Teen Wolf. In the MTV series, he plays the main character Scott's awkward but intelligent best friend. Stiles is the son of the sheriff, and as a result, he knows his way around a mystery. In fact, it's Stiles' curiosity about a dead body his dad is investigating that starts the chain of events leading Scott to become a werewolf.
Thomas Brodie-Sangster: The Queen's Gambit

Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who plays Newt in The Maze Runner, has graduated beyond playing young characters - something that was likely in part due to his youthful appearance - and transferred into a more adult role in the recent Netflix series, The Queen's Gambit.
The series stars Anya Taylor-Joy as orphan Elizabeth "Beth" Harmon. At the orphanage, she develops a dangerous addiction to a tranquilizer pill, which she continues to rely on throughout her adolescence. She becomes a chess prodigy and meets other professional players on her journey, including Brodie-Sangster's Benny Watts.
Kaya Scodelario: Skins UK

Kaya Scodelario plays Theresa in The Maze Runner, a sensible girl who puts the greater good above herself and her friends. Scodelario's first major role was as Elizabeth "Effy" Stonem in the British teen comedy, Skins. The actress was only fourteen years old when she first took on the role of the precocious character. Effy struggles with depression and substance abuse, which makes her hard to befriend or truly know. Even her mother admits to not knowing her at all. She is an intriguing character who many fans agree defined the seven-season series.
Will Poulter: We're The Millers

In We're The Millers, Will Poulter portrays Kenny, a character who is just about the opposite of Gally from the Maze. In the comedy movie, Poulter stars alongside Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts, and Jason Sudeikis. Four strangers unite and pretend to be a family in order to help David smuggle drugs from Mexico. Kenny is a shy young boy who adds a lot of humor to the already-funny comedy.
Dylan O'Brien: The First Time

The First Time is a delicate exploration of a first love between two teens from different high schools who meet by chance at a party. O'Brien is known for his comedic performance as Stiles in Teen Wolf, something he brings to his first leading role, along with some of the youthful awkwardness the characters seem to share.
Patricia Clarkson: Shutter Island

Patricia Clarkson plays Ava Paige, the mysterious woman who seems to be in charge of the WICKED experiments. In Shutter Island, she plays Rachel Solando, an escapee whom US Marshal Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) is looking for in an isolated mental institution. The film was directed by Martin Scorsese and earned critical acclaim for its complex mystery as it dives into the psychology of trauma.
Rosa Salazar: Bird Box

Salazar appears in the sequel to the first film, The Scorch Trials. She is introduced as the nifty and enigmatic Brenda, who helps Thomas find his way through the Scorch. She also finds him more than a few allies, and the revolution begins.
In the Sandra Bullock-led Bird Box, Salazar plays Lucy, a young woman who stays in the same house as the main character, along with a few others. Outside, the world has been ravaged by a mysterious force that has the world's population committing suicide.
Thomas Brodie-Sangster: Love Actually

Love Actually premiered in 2003, but it continues to be popular today, and not just at Christmas time. Part of the reason for this is its timeless message - that humans are, actually, united in our ability to love rather than hate. The movie is set primarily in London in the lead-up to Christmas, following numerous characters in their romantic endeavours. Most of these characters are connected to one another in some obscure way.
The film's is also popular because of its iconic ensemble cast. Thomas Brodie-Sangster is one of these cast members, though he was only a child when he first took on the role. Sam has a fiery personality and a big heart, and he's determined to take a chance on love before the girl he likes leaves for New York.
Aidan Gillen: Peaky Blinders

Peaky Blinders is a British BBC and Netflix series that has been slowly but surely expanding its scope and its cast with every season. Currently one of the most popular shows in the world, its sixth season is set to premiere sometime in 2021 or 2022.
Aidan Gillen, who portrays Janson in the sci-fi movies, takes on the role of Aberama Gold in seasons 4 and 5 of the gangster show. Aberama is a Gypsy hitman who is intent on helping his son become a prolific boxer.
Patricia Clarkson: Easy A

Clarkson appears in another movie about young characters in Easy A. Emma Stone stars as the main character, Olive, who lies about losing her virginity. This white lie turns into a rumor that runs out of control and takes over her entire life. Luckily, Olive has very supportive parents who she can go to for advice. Patricia Clarkson plays her mom, Rosemary. The movie is first and foremost a comedy, and Clarkson, Stone, and Stanley Tucci make for quote the comic trio.
