The Bold and the Beautiful: Fans are disappointed regarding Brooke's relapse

A number of those who watch The Bold and the Beautiful have been outspoken on social media platforms regarding Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) giving alcohol to Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang). Many of those who commented shared that like Brooke they were recovering addicts and or alcoholics and this storyline has shocked them. The consensus from everyone is that no one's sobriety should be challenged that way and that this was not a good plot to be playing out on the screen.

Fans are saying that that sobriety is serious business and relapse can destroy lives. The Bold and the Beautiful once had Quinn Forrester spike Brooke's drink and that was bad enough. This time Sheila switched an entire bottle of nonalcoholic drink for one that had alcohol in it. It's not clear how this will work out in reel-time but in the real world, a situation like this can cause an individual to have to start all over in their attempts to remain sober. Spoilers are even suggesting that Brooke's family members might eventually have to get her into rehab.

Ridge and Brooke's marriage is in trouble

Ridge is going to be beside himself and he will be livid when he finds out his wife slept with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan). Some fans say Brooke should never have pushed Sheila so far while others say the woman who meddles in everyone else's lives deserves what is happening to her. Brooke was beginning to have emotions for Deacon again but if she were sober she probably never would have slept with him. Had she fallen into his bed all on her own it would be more believable. It happened because Sheila switched the labels on the bottles of champagne so Brooke at least at this time did not intend to cheat.

Some B&B spoilers are saying that Brooke will be so ashamed of her behavior that she will begin attending AA meetings again. She will confess to drinking on New Year's eve but will hide the fact she slept with Deacon from everyone. Brooke will not want to blow up her marriage to Ridge and keeping this information hidden might hinder her recovery.

The Bold and the Beautiful: New couples could emerge

Those who watch The Bold and the Beautiful do not believe Brooke and Deacon will actually reunite or if they do it will be temporary. Deacon will no doubt milk the situation and convince Brooke that on some level she did want him even if she were drunk. The storyline is being written in such a way that a majority of fans say it's inevitable that Ridge and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) will get back together.

It's been a long time since these two were a couple so if they reunite they probably will not last any longer than Brooke and Deacon. Brooke already warned Taylor away from Ridge but now she has opened a door for the former spouses to get back together. Ridge hates Deacon with a passion the same way he loathes Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) so he will not get over this betrayal easily.

Ridge may be thinking like Deacon that the alcohol is not 100% to blame and that his wife still has feelings for the father of her daughter Hope Logan Spencer (Anika Noelle). The Bold and the Beautiful's attempt to shake things up has only angered fans who are passionate regarding addiction and wish Brook's downfall had come from a different angle.
