'Twin Peaks' Revisited: Introduction
2017 has been an amazing year for Twin Peaks. Twenty six years after the original series ended, Twin Peaks returned triumphantly to the pop culture landscape, bigger in scope and bolder in execution, in the form of two novels and an 18 part TV series. For many in its community of fans, Twin Peaks never really went away; the time between has been spent pondering on its many unsolved mysteries, intuiting its narrative and thematic meanings, and being inspired by its creativity. As one of those fans, I was hugely excited for Twin Peaks comeback, not just to see how the narrative would continue and how the series would look & feel in today's TV landscape, but because this time around I'd actually get to be part of the water-cooler experience; I was too young to watch when the original aired, and now I'd get to be part of the mystery as it unfolded. As a wonderful effect of this, I got to enjoy it with the larger fan community on Twitter, meeting lots of lovely people and being introduced to many websites and podcasts that only enhanced my experience of The Return.

'Games Of Thrones': 10 Essential Reunions At Winterfell We'd Like To See In Season 8
At the end of Games of Thrones Season 7, we see Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and their various armies of supporters making their way up north to Winterfell by land and by sea, just as the Night King and a resurrected Viserion blast The Wall down into crumbles.Considering how fast travelling time was in Season 7, it won't take long for the Night King and his hordes of the living dead to reach Winterfell at the start of the HBO fantasy series' next and final season. Despite only having six episodes (each reportedly 80-90 minutes long), we reckoned there would still be time for some intriguing meet-ups between key characters who are already at or arriving soon at House Stark's ancestral home before The Great War begins.

Goodbye Doctor - Hello Doctor
Warning: the following article contains a few spoilers. Duh. So on Christmas day, we saw the new Doctor Who, and quite good she seemed to be, too. Honestly, that’s all I’m going to say about the whole gender thing, for one reason: I don’t care about it. Not a jot. Male, female, unicorn or dolphin, I just don’t care. What I care about are the scripts the main actor gets landed with.

Mind Control
Watching TV is a favorite past time for many people. Studies show that the average adult watches more than 4 hours of television per day. While so much time is spent viewing television programs, much less time is spent reading; although reading is much more beneficial to the health of your brain. Studies show that while watching TV, your brain switches over from the left side to the right side. The right side of the brain is primarily a source of emotional responses, whereas the left side controls intellectual responses. When you read, your brain is exercising the left side of your brain, which is used for logic, reasoning, creative thinking and language.

Some Reasons Why Not
Hello everyone. I’d like to thank you, as one often should, for taking the time to read this. It really means a lot to me. There are a few things I need to make known about this post before you continue. First, it is, for all intents and purposes, a critical look at the new Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, and while I don’t necessarily intend to spoil the series for those who will watch it or haven’t finished it, I will not shy away from talking about the series as a whole. Second, because of the subject matter that the show addresses, this post is definitely going to be a little more on the somber side. And third, it is important to acknowledge this show not just as a form of entertainment or an interesting story to be told, but as a commentary on our culture’s attitude toward a number of issues, particularly that of mental health. With these things established, let’s talk about some stuff.

'Game of Thrones' Creators Reveal the Secrets Behind Arya and Brienne's Sparring Match
Amidst murmurs of sloppy writing and incredulously quick land/sea/raven travel from disgruntled viewers, one thing that is undeniably impressive about Season 7 of Game of Thrones was the jam-packed memorable fight and battle scenes. Girl power was very much in the forefront and that could not be better demonstrated than the thrilling duel between Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) in "The Spoils of War".
