If 2020 has taught me anything, it’s the value of escapism. And now with the breadth of streaming platforms available, there’s endless content and more every day. As a 90s kid, I grew during the Disney animation renaissance. VHS tapes stocked the cabinet and played on repeat, probably annoying my parents. I had toys and stuffed animals of the characters. (I even have a Simba tattoo on my foot!) In school, I threw myself into fantasy and fairy tale books. So, when ABC announced a new TV series in 2011 that revolved around the Disney vault of characters, I was all in. And like any guilty pleasure, I find myself returning time and again to Once Upon a Time and it's magical 7 seasons.

RIVERDALE IS THE BEST!
RIVERDALE is one of Netflix’s most watched shows and this is for a very good reason. It has suspenseful drama, cheeky high school antics and soppy romantic moments! RIVERDALE truly is the whole package. My favourite moments of RIVERDALE is when opposite sides join forces for a better cause, for example, when the south side serpents joined forces with the bulldogs after their long territorial battle to help further the investigation of the black hood or when everyone joined together to mourn beloved jughead when they believed he was dead. Another favourite part of RIVERDALE is the teen romances happening around town. Is Bughead endgame? or will it be Varchie? Or will it even be Barchie? Well all that is yet to be uncovered in a possible modern Romeo and Juliet fashion, what we do know for sure is that there is no limit to how many girls mr Archie andrews can actually fall for.

Merlin; Childhood Binge.
A very guilty pleasure of mine in terms of watching something binge-worthy, Merlin. Also known as The Adventures of Merlin in the USA, it's a family show about the early years of Merlin the wizard and his building friendship with Prince Arthur as they both stave off magical threats to the kingdom of Camelot, but the only problem is, magic is illegal and Merlin has to keep his magic secret otherwise he will be executed.
