My Top 5 'Black Mirror' Episodes
It has taken a lot of convincing to get me to watch the hit Netflix TV Show Black Mirror which was first released in 2011 on Channel 4. Taken to Netflix by Season 3, Black Mirror flourished its way to an audience of 11.6 Million viewers during the sixth season. I will not lie to you when I say that the majority of the episodes in my opinion, are some of the most boring and banal things I have ever seen on television. However, the cultural impact of the show upon others cannot be denied or understated.

Brief and not-so-Brief opinions: Part 6
'Twas the fight before Christmas, The invention of lying, Good Sam, Compulsive Liar, and Despite Everything. … The 'brief and not-so-brief opinions' articles are my outlet to rant about or appreciate movies, shows and their elements. I will express my thoughts while watching and after or only after watching, it depends. I will not be rating. These are not spoiler-free for the most part and no research will be made for or about them(unless curious or accidental which would be mentioned). They are in no particular order of recent watching as well. However, the opinions are in order of viewing the movie or show (for the most part). This wouldn't be as structured or detailed as well and there would be no set number of picks per article, it would be just as things go. It is intended to be casual. So think, conversations about movie plots, characters, topics-so something like that.

Gen V
We are rounding to a close on the first season of Gen V and it has been a well paced rollercoaster. I am very invested in this show. The younger characters are written very well and are easy to connect to. I like seeing the younger generation get a handle on their powers and struggle with their morality before they are grown up and Vought pushes them into the spotlight. When we last left off in episode 6 with our group now popped back into the real world and out of Cate’s mind. Our latest plot development is that the virus that The Woods has been producing and testing on Supes isn’t really about controlling them or even making them sick, it's about killing them. Dean Sheddy is hoping this virus can be made contagious to theoretically eradicate the Supes from the world. I don’t think I’m reaching in saying that we can probably expect another death before the end of the season.

November Rewatches
In addition to all the wonderful new TV that is being released on streaming there is a comfort in rewatching things you’ve already seen. I, for example, am in a constant state of rewatching One Tree Hill, Grey’s Anatomy and Gilmore Girls and this fall is no different. But there are some shows that are just meant to be rewatched in the fall. So here are the shows that we are in the middle of rewatching and ones we saved specifically for the cold days.

The Haunting of Bly Manor
The Haunting of Bly Manor is the second Mike Flanagan project we watched after absolutely loving the Haunting of Hill House. This series is slightly shorter than Hill House at 9 episodes all an hour long. Bly Manor took what we loved from Hill House and put it on steroids from the lighting to the camera work. Flanagan's directorial style makes the horror genre something incredible.

Why We Hate Rachel Greene
Friends is one of the most watched shows of all time and as such sparks a lot of debate among both casual watchers and fans. One of the ongoing commentaries is just how much the internet hates Ross Geller. I come to bring a very controversial stance. Ross Geller was a terrible partner, to every woman he ever dated. But he was a good person. He leant Monica money when she needed it, he bought Phoebe her first bike and taught her how to ride it and he gave up a career changing opportunity to help Rachel when he didn’t have to. That said Rachel was a bad partner and a bad person. I am here with an entire article on why Rachel was actually the worst Friend.

Haunting of Hill House
Okay so we know that I love scary movies and I watch a lot of them. But there has been this trend, specifically on Netflix lately of scary TV shows. None of which I have ever really gotten into. I just never sat down long enough to get through one of them. I would argue that this trend started with the release of the Haunting of Hill House. I remember living with girls at the time that absolutely loved it and I had only seen glimpses but never the whole show. Well we recently started watching it and I have to say I understand the fixation.
