Gen V
Alright folks we have reached the end of the first season of Gen V. We know that this finale will lead pretty much right into the next season of The Boys that is prepped for a 2024 release. When we left off last episode there were a few vials of this supe killing virus left and it is now in the hands of a politician, so that’s gonna end well. These kids also all know what’s been going on and dean Sheddy is dead. Oh right, and also Polarity is in the hospital for an unknown reason. So there is kind of a lot to wrap up in this last episode and set up if there is to be a second season. So here we go with the Gen V season finale.

The Nuance of Numbers
On the internet we hear “movies aren’t as good now”, “well when movies were good” and “back when”, now these thoughts are all blatantly untrue because brilliant movies exist everywhere, people are just lazy and won't watch anything not handed directly to them. Often the general public blames writers for the lack of originality in Hollywood. The amount of sequels, remakes and reboots are often cited as to why writers don’t deserve to be paid properly. Especially in the year of the longest and biggest strike in entertainment industry history. What most people don’t realize is that all of those unoriginal movies that you hate are commissioned by studios, and are fulfilled simply by writers trying to feed themselves. You see studios see a movie that was successful, like Ghostbusters and they immediately think audiences want more Ghostbusters instead of seeing that audiences want more friend group comedies. They see no nuance in the numbers.

8 Creepiest Classic 'Goosebumps' Episodes
From the early 90s to mid-2000s, Goosebumps was a beloved popculture phenomenon, existing in an age where it seemed more acceptable to let kids get a little bit scared. Beginning life as a series of sixty two novels written by R.L Stine between 1992 and 1997, Goosebumps later grew into a larger franchise spanning multiple mediums. These included an anthology style TV series that ran for four seasons from 1995 to 1998, two modestly successful feature films released in 2015 and 2018, and a number of spin-off novel series including the supposedly scarier tales of Goosebumps 2000, the choose-your-own-adventure style Give Yourself Goosebumps, Goosebumps HorrorLand, and SlappyWorld, which concluded in July 2023.

How “Harry Potter” Became the Gold Standard of Film Series Adaptations
It’s hard not to be a little biased when the first Harry Potter film came out not long after your fifth birthday, but there’s a magic to these films that extends well beyond the wizardry. I can think of no film that’s done more justice to the fantastical world of its source material than the colossal Hogwarts castle and the hallowed grounds around it.

Michael Gambon's Most Unforgettable Role
For those who grew up with the Harry Potter movies, they likely see Michael Gambon's face as the apotheosis of warmth and wisdom. Taking over the role of Professor Albus Dumbledore upon the death of the beloved Richard Harris, though, it was no easy task he had before him trying to fill those shoes. Famously, though, Gambon didn't even attempt to. He didn't read the books, and he didn't allow his approach to the character to be tainted by Harris's prior portrayal.

Once Upon A Time
Once Upon a Time was a show that I picked up when it was in its second or third season. I remember thinking that the fairytale angle was brilliant and they could make it so much darker than the Disneyfied versions of these stories. It has been about a decade since the last time that I’ve seen this show but I know that it got weird towards the end. So this is on the list of shows that started good but went off the rails and we are going to analyze it just the same to figure out where the breaking point was. So here we go with the first season of Once Upon A Time.

Mario, Zombies and the Return of the Mad Titan Part II
Mario and Rick walked through the vibrant kingdom as Thanos lay bleeding and groaning on the ground. But as they neared a suspiciously large green pipe that emerged from the earth, Mario appeared to have a sudden change of heart.

Solid First Seasons
So occasionally we’ve talked about shows that just started off so strong and up a muddled mess. Unfortunately this is an all too common phenomenon, particularly in network shows. It boils down to studios wanting more money so they keep their successful shows on long enough to ruin them. So we are going to go through some of the shows that had incredible, groundbreaking first seasons. Perhaps they even had a good first few seasons, but eventually they ended up incomplete and messy.

Brief and not-so-Brief opinions: Part 3
Dual, The Hunt, Side Effects, Law Abiding Citizen, The Debt, Catfight, The Weekend Away, and Long Weekend. … The 'brief and not-so-brief opinions' articles are my outlet to rant about or appreciate movies, shows and their elements. I will express my thoughts while watching and after or only after watching, it depends. I will not be rating. These are not spoiler-free for the most part and no research will be made for or about them(unless curious or accidental which would be mentioned). They are in no particular order of recent watching as well. However, the opinions are in order of viewing the movie or show (for the most part). This wouldn't be as structured or detailed as well and there would be no set number of picks per article, it would be just as things go. It is intended to be casual. So think, conversations about movie plots, characters, topics-so something like that.
