The Superhero Movie We Deserve: Nickelodeon's Awesome Captain Planet
I grew up in the early 90s. My childhood was comprised of classic Nickelodeon, Captain Crunch and Saturday morning cartoons. One show that I was truly dedicated to watching was Captain Planet. I loved the "edutainment" that it brought, and even though I really had no idea what environmentalism actually meant, I remember it as being a highlight of my mornings.

Time To Toughen Up: What The Atom In 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Needs To Become A Hero
I like Ray Palmer as a character in DC's Legends of Tomorrow. I think he's a super nice guy, but he might be just a bit too nice. It's difficult to see him as a hero when the heroic qualities only come with his suit. There are times when heroes need to get tough. We've seen that happen with Arrow and all of its masked heroes as well as The Flash and the other "legends" on Legends of Tomorrow. Ray, however, has remained nice guy and that's about it.

I read an article (read it here) posted by a moviepilot friend, she knows who she is, and it really got me thinking about the topics brought up in it. I wrote a few weeks ago about the #GhostbustersGATE and was met with hostility even though my purpose for writing was to question the initial backlash against the film as it seemed that so many thought the movie was obviously a feminist plot for political correctness and gender equality. *start rant* Seriously, a feminist plot... grow up and realize that it's not a male world anymore *end rant* Regardless of your opinion on feminine influence in movie, comic and general geek-dom: it's happening, and I think it's great.

Potential Directions for the Next X-Men Film from Director Bryan Singer
The 'X-Men' franchise appears to be expanding past the slated movies supposedly in pre-production. Currently, we have X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) to look forward to, then the potential X-Men: The New Mutants and Gambit solo film in upcoming years. But as of now, we have word from both Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg on another potential X-Men film in development. During the press junket for X-Men: Apocalypse, producer of the film, Simon Kinberg answered questions regarding his next project. And in doing so, Kinberg implicitly gave us confirmation of another 'X-Men' film in development. Kinberg's comments to ComingSoon, stated how the next film in the X-Men franchise will be set in the '90s. That being said, it means Kinberg and Singer have something else in mind for the X-Men franchise, other than the upcoming X-Men: The New Mutants, helmed by Josh Boone. To add to that, Bryan Singer has just given us the most revealing piece of information in his latest interview with Fandango. The implication of Singer's comments are vague but very important for the future of the X-Men franchise if Simon Kinberg and Bryan Singer have big plans for the X-Men franchise, currently unbeknownst to the public.

After 'Civil War': 6 Loose Ends in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has kicked off with a great start. Captain America: Civil War being the first film of Phase 3, has surpassed expectations, while opening the door for the MCU' to branch off into many more adventures outside of the mainstream Marvel story-line. Apart from the amazing resolution we were left with at the conclusion of Captain America: Civil War, there are still a ton of questions left unanswered. The MCU has amassed 12 films to date, with each film creating expansive worlds that intertwine with one another. Some could argue that various plot threads have become convoluted, while leaving some major plot-points unresolved. For instance, we haven't been given any direct confirmation on how The Incredible Hulk (2008) connects to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, other than the Easter Eggs dropped by including Tony Stark/Iron Man in the post-credits scene of The Incredible Hulk, and the video compilation of Hulk's rampage in the SHIELD files given to Tony Stark by Nick Fury in The Avengers (2012). And we still haven't heard from some of the central characters of The Incredible Hulk who could have potentially, massive roles in future MCU' films if they are reintroduced. Apart from that disconnection within specific aspects of the MCU', there are several more mysteries which have gone unnoticed. Inhumans: The Future of the MCU?
I've been wondering about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a while now, and as we are starting to get a few more details about the remainder of the films slated for a Phase 3 release I am getting more and more excited about what's to come. Phase 3 is slated to unveil films through July 2019, ending with what I anticipate as the pinnacle film to traverse the cinematic Phase 3 into whats coming in Phase 4.
