Classic Movie Review 'Lord of the Rings: Return of the King'
The ‘Undisputed Classic’ on the December 16th episode of the Everyone’s a Critic Movie Review Podcast is our final leg in the Lord of the Rings franchise, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. I could not be happier for this to be over. I wasn’t a big fan of bringing the Rings trilogy to the show and having watched all three for the second time in my life, I am elated to leave them in the past. Don’t misunderstand, I appreciate the achievement and the artistry but I just don’t care about this fantasy universe or its soporific inhabitants.

'To Kill a Mockingbird'
Robert Massimi. Just when I thought The Ferryman would run away with every Tony Award for Best Play, Best Actor, Actress and every other thing, along comes To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee's gem from back when. It is the story of a man, Tom Robinson, falsely accused of rape by a young white girl. Robinson, a black man in 1934 living in Maycomb, Alabama never had a prayer for being found innocent, not even with the brilliant Atticus Finch (Jeff Daniels), as his lawyer.

'Persona 5: The Animation'— Episode 3 Review
I am back, back, back again!!!! I am finally back with a new review this time for the third review for the third episode of Persona 5: The Animation (Whew! A mouthful already!) I will say that this episode has brought the plot of this series back together as majority of the drama has become more exciting to watch even on a school night (not saying you should as a college student but the temptation was there and I couldn't help myself!!) So I will get right into my review so hold on to your hats and phantom masks because it's going to be a wild review!!!

'Fantastic Beasts' Review
Ok, so there's a divisiveness going around with this movie. It's in the same rut as Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, I just wanted to let everyone know that, whoever is reading this and that this movie is different compared to the last movie. You'll either love it or hate it. Lastly, I'm not as big as a Potterhead as I was when I was a teenager but I still love the Wizarding World. I'd still love to be a wizard in this world. With that being said, this movie was amazing!

Movie Review: '24 Hour Party People'
As I rebuild my DVD collection, I am finding some unique and terrific movies on the back shelves of Goodwill stores and library surplus sales. Here's a review of my latest find, 2002's Michael Winterbottom flick, 24 Hour Party People.

He Made 'Sense': How a Documentary by Michael Paxton on Ayn Rand Propelled My Life
Documentaries can sometimes come off as highfalutin, “in the know,” ways of signalling to people that you possess more information than they do. And to some extent, people are right about this. Often hoity-toity and dealing with heavy subject matter, few directors, unlike the muckraker Michael Moore, ever get their due. Not even at the Academy Awards (which Moore has won). But one documentary that stands out as one of the best autobiographical works is the Oscar® nominated Ayn Rand: A Sense of Life by writer, director, and producer Michael Paxton. It concerns the life and love story of the most profound mind in just over two thousand years, Miss Ayn Rand. I first encountered this documentary after listening to a snippet from a radio show. It didn’t stop there.

Movie Review '13 Conversations About One Thing' 2001
Don't you hate it when someone tells a joke and you’re the only one who doesn't get it? That is how I feel about the movie 13 Conversations About One Thing. After reading a large amount of positive reviews I'm left wondering what did it was I not see. The film from Jill and Karen Sprecher, the lovely minds behind 1997's Clockwatchers, tells the interlocking stories of a group of dour New Yorkers beset by strange fates.

North Shore Music Theatre's 'A Christmas Carol' Is a Brilliant Ghostly Tale
North Shore Music Theatre’s A Christmas Carol is a brilliant ghostly tale! It puts together the magical narrative of Charles Dickens’ famous short story. Ebenezer Scrooge is sour towards the Christmas season. When he gets a visit from a late comrade, Jacob Marley, three ghosts are cursed to haunt him. The Ghost of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Yet to Come all take Scrooge on a life-changing journey.

'Avengers: Endgame'—Trailer Review
Fbdhgfdvfdbfchrndtbdgvgrfhfgdgswsxjkhf... I think I speak for everyone when I say that. Yes, Disney and Marvel have finally dropped the first teaser trailer for Avengers 4, which was revealed to be titled Avengers: Endgame (even though the Russo Bros. said the title of the film was not said through dialogue during Infinity War and Doctor Strange imfamously did...but hey, that’s their journey).

'Selkie'
Robert Massimi. Selkie at The Wild Project is a fun play. It has humor, absurdism, it makes you think a little and has a very creative set. Set in a fishing village, Deanna and Keaton are in love. Keaton is a gentile soul, who cares for Deanna. We don't know what brought them here, but we soon find out. Keaton is not the person we think—not by a long shot. Keaton is a stealthy, greedy person who we come to know as not caring at all about Deanna. Deanna, is a weak person who puts up with him because she lacks the courage to leave him and go home. It gets worse for her as the play goes on—drugs, confinement and complete dominance has engulfed her life.

'A Charlie Brown Christmas'—A Review
A Charlie Brown Christmas has aired on TV for over 50 years now! Along with other Christmas specials, it is one of the most popular as it involves all of our favorite Peanuts characters imagined by Charles M. Schulz. Charlie Brown is trying to understand the true meaning of Christmas while everyone else, yet again, gives him a hard time.

How the 'House of Cards' Fell
If you ever get talking to me long enough, you'll find out that House of Cards (the American version), is by miles one of my favourite TV shows. Before the release of season 5, I wouldn't have hesitated in telling you that it was my favourite show outright. But the show has slipped, but not just stumbled—I'm talking slipped on a piece of ice and ended up breaking its own neck.
