My Review of "Get Duked!"
Get Duked is a coming of age story that came out in 2019. I've never heard of this title before but it seemed like a fun concept. Although I wasn't expecting much from this movie it was actually better than I had anticipated. That's not to say it was remarkable. I could tell it was targeted to a younger audience though.

My Review of "Ava"
Ava is an action movie that came out in 2020. As it came out in the year of the pandemic I don't think many people have heard of it. I think it had a ton of potential but there were too many elements of this movie that needed more meat. This movie could have probably benefited from being a TV series rather than a full out movie. It's too bad because the cast was great and they had so many great ideas.

My Review of "The Secret of My Success"
The Secret of My Success came out back in 1987 and it sure shows its age. You can tell that there would be a lot of raised eyebrows today if they read the script for this movie. Still it's always interesting to look back at some of the older titles to remember what the social norms were back in the day in contrast to what they are today.

Hallmark Christmas Movies Are The Worst (And Best)
When one thinks of Christmas movies, people tend to think of the classics like It’s A Wonderful Life and Miracle On 34th Street. Or maybe more modern cult favorites come to mind like A Christmas Story or Home Alone. Most of us enjoy these films though we may have seen them a few dozens times or so and have them memorized by heart.

Hulu’s “Happiest Season”, The Christmas Rom-Com That’s Coming For Your Heart Strings
Sometimes, the most meaningful aspects of life are the hardest to have to endure. Their pain is impactful, and it is so often that during those moments we find ourselves forced to ask the question all too many find comfort in ignoring: what was my role in this and do I need to be better?
