My Review of "Fatherhood"
Fatherhood is the latest 2021 exclusive release from Netflix. It also happens to be Kevin Hart's latest movie. We've seen him go into more serious roles lately starting from "The Upside". Here Kevin pushes the boundaries of his abilities yet again. It's becoming quite apparent that he's trying to reach and see what's beyond the horizons for his career. I think it's a great approach to keep up with his ever evolving life.

Review: "Promising Young Woman"
Promising Young Woman is a dark film disguised as a comedy and deals with a subject matter that is increasingly more relevant, even more so after the Me Too movement. It deals heavily with the effect that rape can have on the people closest to the victim, and how the people that refuse to act are just as guilty as the harasser. It is an incredibly ambitious debut film for new writer-director Emerald Fennell, and in lesser hands the film could have easily deteriorated into an overly propaganda-like film on the heavy subject. It isn't surprising that this film received Oscar nominations as it is expertly crafted and paced beautifully, not to mention Carey Mulligan delivers the performance of her career as the vengeful Cassie.

The Dying Earth (Book Review)
I just finished reading “The Dying Earth” by Jack Vance and I have to say that it’s probably one of the best fantasy or sci-fi fantasy stories I have ever read. What makes it special for me is the creativity with the magic and the universe. Vancian Magic and all of its relics are very interesting stuff to catalogue, the beautifully crafted world (and the beings who live in it) which could have only come from a great imaginator, and let’s not forget the characters - from the curious Turjan, the soul searching Tsais, malevolent Mazirian, to that asshole Liam and the ultra-scary Chun the Unavoidable. There’s no objectivism in Jack Vance’s characters; all of them have their uniqueness, and are given their appropriate rewards/punishments for showing such personalities.

My Review of "Mobile Suit Gundam"
Mobile Suit Gundam is a movie that came out back in 1981. I haven't ever seen this anime movie until recently but I had read the novels back in high school. I remember loving the three part novel series but that was back in the 90s. After reading those novels I always wanted to see the anime series but I never had access to them. Recently the movies had popped up on Netflix and I finally got a chance to check them out.

My Review of "The New Mutants"
The New Mutants had finally come out in 2020. It came out at time when there was pretty much nothing out there because of the pandemic. That's why I'm curious why this movie doesn't get so much love from a lot of comic book fans. I'm looking at the young adults in particular because this is a movie definitely geared toward them.

My hatred of spider's and my love of Ron Weasley
Firstly, I’d like to say that this was painful to write because it forces me to think of, imagine, and, ultimately describe spiders, my bitter foe. Yet I do it gladly for my love of the expertly written character Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter book series. If you know of him at all you know that he and I share that hatred of the eight-legged and eight-eyed, weirdly furry, abominations. (Here I wanted to make sure I was correct about the number of creepy legs and eyes my foe has, and I almost had to look at a picture of them. I was forced to use my hand to cover the screen.) I shudder at the mere sight of my sly nemesis yet the courageous Ronald Bilius Weasley not only faced the furry beasts but ventured into their venomous lair.

My Review of "Salvage Kings: Season 1 and 2"
Salvage Kings was introduced to me sometime this year by my brother. He loves these shows where they find old things where they least expect them and profit off of these finds. Needless to say we've watched through Storage Wars for a long time until we found out that a lot of the treasures they found in the storages were planted. Then we watched a lot of American Pickers as well as Pawn Stars. It was all cool and all but living in Canada we didn't see too many based in Canada.
