My Review of "The Suicide Squad (2021)"
The Suicide Squad (2021) is a movie I actually didn't think would ever come out. When Suicide Squad (2016) came out I was pretty indifferent about the movie. That movie received a ton of backlash from fans and the studios. Nobody ever imagined that they'd attempt to do another one. Yet here we are with this newest iteration of the movie. I have a confession to make... it was actually pretty good.

Review: "No Sudden Move"
Steven Soderberg has crafted many brilliant films to date and No Sudden Move is more of the same. Like many of his films, it stars a brilliant cast brimming with talent. No Sudden Move is an American noir period crime thriller crafted with heart and plenty of intelligence. Frankly the film is a bit of a throwback as well and a phenomenal genre exercise as it is a bit of an old fashioned film. Filming was set to begin back in April of 2020 right as the pandemic was in full swing and inevitably of course it was delayed while also forcing some actors such as Sebastian Stan, George Clooney and John Cena to walk away from the project. Luckily, such delays and losses didn't negatively affect the film as it is truly captivating. Soderberg's talents behind the camera shines brightly as do the two main stars in Don Cheadle and Benicio del Toro. No Sudden Move is also an HBO Max Original as it only appears on the streaming app and currently cannot be found in many movie theaters.

The Gondoliers, a comic opera by Gilbert and Sullivan
The Gondoliers (1889) was the last comic opera by Gilbert and Sullivan to achieve popular success, and strains were already appearing in the relationship between librettist and composer. However, it was most certainly a success, containing some excellent music and a typically Gilbertian plot. Despite Gilbert’s digs at aristocracy and monarchy, the Gondoliers was performer by royal command at Windsor Castle in 1891, the first light entertainment to be performed before Queen Victoria since the death of Prince Albert 20 years previously.

My Review of "The Tomorrow War"
Tomorrow War is one of the latest 2021 Amazon Prime exclusive titles. In some ways I'm pretty impressed with this movie. There are elements of this movie that scream big budget blockbuster movies. On the other hand some of those same big budget blockbuster elements are also its downfall. Regardless, I think it's a pretty good summer flick for those looking for some action.
