My Review of "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (Extended Edition)"
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (Extended Edition) is a movie I've always wanted to check out. I really liked the original theatrical release of this movie. Despite the fact I was entertained by this film there was always a sense that something was missing. After watching this extended cut of the film I realized I was right.

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window
I love Kristen Bell. I love her for acting in "Veronica Mars," "The Good Place," and "Bad Moms," for singing in the "Frozen" movies, and for promoting women's and girls' issues on "Armchair Expert" podcast. I would watch anything with her, so when Netflix automatically cued "The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window" after the series finale of "After Life" that made me cry, I thought it would be a good distraction from the emotional wreck that Ricky Gervais made me into with the ending of his show.

Review of 'Wingbearer'
A young girl must stop a threat to her magical world in this epic graphic novel from New York Times bestselling author Marjorie Liu and remarkable debut illustrator Teny Issakhanian. Zuli is extraordinary—she just doesn’t realize it yet. Raised by mystical bird spirits in the branches of the Great Tree, she’s never ventured beyond this safe haven. She’s never had to. Until now. When a sinister force threatens the life-giving magic of the tree, Zuli, along with her guardian owl, Frowly, must get to the root of it. So begins an adventure bigger than anything Zuli could’ve ever imagined—one that will bring her, along with some newfound friends, face-to-face with an ancient dragon, the so-called Witch-Queen, and most surprisingly of all: her true identity. This captivating middle-grade graphic novel, the first of a series, is perfect for fans of the Amulet books and the Wings of Fire series.

Four Things Wrong With The Book Of Boba
*Warning Spoilers* My partner and I have made watching the Disney series, The Book of Boba a habit in our household that has been seemingly growing into a painful one. Since the very first episode, it became clear there were going to be cringes and inaccuracies that no Jedi mind trick could make you oblivious to of the retelling of the admired Star Wars character, Boba Fett. There is so much controversy in the fandom, causing longtime fans to not even want to watch the series from fear the hugely known character wouldn't be done justice. I wish I could give comfort, but this isn't the post. As my husband and I continue to watch the series, everything wrong with the series that makes it not as enjoyable to watch seems to come down to these four core issues.

"Murderville: Season 1" - STREAM IT OR SKIP IT?
There's so much content out there these days that it can be hard to find anything worth watching. I know that sounds backwards, but there are simply so many options that the true gems are hidden among the ranks of the mediocre, or even the outright bad. Besides, modern shows are designed with carefully planted cliffhangers so that once you get started, it's hard to walk away. Then you look up, and six hours have passed, and you realise that you didn't really enjoy any of it. It was distracting, and it got its hooks in you, but you kinda wish that you had those six hours back.

Our Friend Death
Written in January 2021. This was the first movie I saw alone in a long while (it isn’t precisely date-friendly or ladies’ night material). I just needed to get out of the house and wanted to feel something refreshing. So I hit the theaters and picked the first showing that wasn’t Wonder Woman 1984 because…let’s be real…that would have been the antithesis of “refreshing”. Luckily, chance helped me find what I was looking for.

My Review of "Baskets: Season 1"
Baskets: Season 1 is a little known show that started up in 2016. It only recently appeared in my radar after the untimely death of Louis Anderson who plays the matriarch in this show. I really wished I had stumbled upon it a lot sooner but it's better late than never.
