Cleaner - A Movie Review
You asked me what my job was like. It’s morbid, but it’s a living. Cleaner was released in 2007. A crime scene cleaner unknowingly cleans a cover-up. During his investigation with the owner of the house, she has no idea what has happened. Determined to get to the bottom of this, Tom hunts down the clues.

Legend of the Sea Devils
"Legend of the Sea Devils" is only the second Easter special for Doctor Who, which is an oddity since it seems even more suited to that holiday than to Christmas. The last three regenerations have aired on Christmas, yet surely the day marking death and resurrection would be more appropriate?

Book Review: This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron
I love fairy tales, always have. By the time I was four years old, I had Hansel and Gretel memorized. I own a leather-bound complete collection of Grimm fairy tales, a secondary book of tales that includes stories from Hans Christian Anderson, and a collection of favorite African folk tales as selected by Nelson Mandela.

Review of 'Stream this Next'
I've been saying at least since 2015 that streaming -- in particular the capacity it gives viewers to watch as much of a television series as they like, at one time, as if they were reading a book -- constitutes a third golden age of television (the first being what TV broadcast networks began to bring us in the 1950s, the second being the cable revolution which I take as beginning with The Sopranos on HBO in 1999). Indeed, I watch a huge amount of television -- I find it quite good for my brain -- and I'd estimate more than 80% of the dramas and comedies I watch are via streaming (all the live news I watch is on cable -- mostly MSNBC, with a little CNN, in case you'd like to know).

My Review of "Sonic the Hedgehog 2"
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has recently come out. If you already saw the original Sonic the Hedgehog then you pretty much know what you're getting yourself into with this sequel. Still you probably have some apprehensions from watching this movie because it's a movie sequel to a popular video game franchise. Hollywood has had a bad reputation for churning out bad movie adaptations. How are they going to catch lighting in a bottle twice in a row?

Review of 'The Library of the Dead'
Part mystery, part dystopic thriller, and part magical academia with a lot of heart. This read is a delight! It’s the perfect type of contemporary fantasy mash-up with just the right amount of supernatural and horror elements to keep you up at night. But it’s Ropa, our precocious narrator and resident ghostalker, who instantly becomes indelible by the end of the first page. Wise and seasoned beyond her years, as formed by modern Scotland as she is by her ancestral home of Zimbabwe, Ropa is tossed into a world of danger, magic, and dark discovery. We can’t wait for the next installment!
