My Review of "Violent Night"
Violent Night came out back during the Christmas holiday season of 2022. I don't know why it took me so long to watch this movie but I did. It's weird too because this movie seems like it would be right up my alley. Not everyone is going to have fun with this movie but if you're in the right headspace this movie can be quite entertaining.

YOU Season 4: A Satire of Satire
Spoiler Warning! Joe Goldberg, as much as he'd like to convince us that this isn't the case, lacks self awareness. Obviously. He is always telling us what a good guy he is, and how none of this was meant to happen, and that he's trying to change, but we know that people don't trip up and accidentally murder (nearly) all of their romantic partners, plus a few extra for good luck.

The Little Mermaid (2023) ... why?
The Little Mermaid (2023) is set for theatrical release on May 26th in the US. In the run-up to this new Disney remake, the studios released a teaser trailer back in September, and have now released the highly anticipated full-length trailer just a few days ago. As usual, people have their issues with it. Myself included. Based on the fact that I have not seen the full film I cannot comment on it as a whole, or the acting as such, but I do not need to see the whole film to know why I have an issue with it.

My Review of "Shazam!: Fury of the Gods"
Shazam!: Fury of the Gods is one of my anticipated movies of 2023. It's finally come out in theaters and I have mixed feelings about the movie. The first movie was fantastic despite some of the shortcomings that we could oversee. There was a certain charm to that movie that I was really hoping they'd be able to repeat with this sequel.

Uncharted (2022) Movie Review
When it comes to video game adaptations, it's not uncommon for them to be criticized for lacking a human element. However, Ruben Fleischer's film adaptation of the award-winning Sony game, "Uncharted", takes this criticism to new heights, feeling emptier than the game itself. Despite its use of green screen special effects and treasure-hunt plotting, "Uncharted" fundamentally lacks the sense of adventure that made the game so beloved.

Silverton Siege (2022) Movie Review
Silverton Siege is a film based on a fascinating true story that takes place in South Africa in January 1980. The movie follows three freedom fighters who are part of an African liberation movement that is set on ending the apartheid laws that were then turning the country into a state of white nationalists. The three outlaws - Calvin, Aldo, and Terra - are on the run from a botched mission to sabotage a string of petrol depots outside Watloo. Betrayed by someone on the inside, they find themselves in a desperate chase through the streets of Silverton after police captain Langerman sets his trap. The film tells a gripping story that combines the elements of an old-fashioned heist movie with a political edge.
