Jaws: The Revenge... Even Sharks Avoid it
Sharks don’t take things personally, or so you’d think. As the fourth installment of the Jaws franchise, Jaws: The Revenge swam out of the ocean onto the big screen in 1987. While trying to enjoy a vacation in the Bahamas, the Brody’s are attacked by another man-eating shark. Ellen Brody believes the shark is out for revenge and attempts to stop its vengeance.

Eric miniseries (2024) review
When 9-year-old Edgar disappears on his way to school, his father becomes convinced that the only way to get him back home is to get his creation, Eric (a seven-foot-tall puppet) on TV. Bizarre as this outline may be, Eric the mini-series, is an incredibly dense and beautiful story of the scars left due to parental neglect in 1980s New York.

Is True Detective: North Country the return of the True Detective series?
True Detective is finally back with Season 4, five years after the 3rd. Seasons 2 and 3 never reached the prestige or excellence of Season 1, but diehard fans of the show never gave up hope. While True Detective: North Country doesn’t match up to the level of the first one, it is enjoyable and suspenseful on its own merit.

Desperate Housewives
The beginning of season 2 starts right where season 1 left off. Bree is grieving in isolation. Lynette is headed to work per her husband's request. Susan is in the hospital after the fallout with Zach and Mike. And Gabrielle throws John out of her house after he revealed to Carlos that he was the one that she was having an affair with. Oh and we have new neighbors on Wisteria lane. Not quite sure what the overall mystery for the season is going to be but we are starting off well with a very easy to follow timeline. I appreciate that we went straight from season 1 to season 2 with no time in between.

Atlas
Okay I know that the internet is on a JLo hate train, and they should be, she’s awful. But you know I can’t judge a movie properly before I see it. So I have forced myself to sit through Atlas. This seems to be a passion project for her but there are other people involved. I am going into this pretty blind, I am not even sure what the film is about so me and my opinion are a complete clean slate. Can the rest of the cast save this movie from JLo…that is the question.

Tuesday
I have just watched this movie and wanted to write up my impressions while they are still fresh. I'll use my already familiar media literacy critique formula: any good creation of art (a movie, a painting, a book - anything, really, that has some encoded information in it as a medium) will affect us humans on four different dimensions. The best ones will pull all four strings, but a successful creation would probably have at least two:

Southpaw - A Movie Review
You need to be confident to win battles. After a fight in the ring, Southpaw was released to theaters in 2015. Billy Hope is a boxing champion. He has it all when tragedy strikes his family. Billy’s fame and confidence deflate as he loses his name and fights custody of his daughter.

Marblehead Little Theatre's 'Something Rotten': A Shakespearean Musical Comedy
It’s time to make an omelette no one will forget. Marblehead Little Theatre whips up a heaping rendition of Something Rotten. Set in the Renaissance era, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom argue about ideas for a new show. They must think outside the eggshells if they’re going to surpass the notorious playwright, William Shakespeare.

My Review of "Twisted Metal: Season 1"
Twisted Metal: Season 1 aired back in 2023 and I'm only now getting a chance to finish watching it. There's just so many shows to watch that it's been put on the backburner until now. I'm familiar with the video game that it's based off of and that's why I got a little more enjoyment when it came to the final episodes of this show.

My Review of "American Ninja Warrior: Women's Championship 2024"
American Ninja Warrior: Women's Championship 2024 has aired and I'm a little late to the race. I've been following this championship since it's beginning four seasons ago and each year it continues to keep me captivated.

House of the Dragon Ep. 2
We started off the new season of House of the Dragon with a grieving Rhaenyra, blood and cheese and a disgusting display between Alicent and crispy Cole. There is obviously going to be some fallout here in the second episode. With blood and cheese the dance has officially started and now the war is no longer about the throne, it is about vengeance and loss. So let’s get into House of the Dragon season 2 episode 2.

My Review of "Silver Linings Playbook"
Silver Linings Playbook came out back in 2012 but still holds up as one of the better romantic comedies that have come out in the past decade or two. I remember being dumbfounded at how good it was when I first saw it and I'm surprised that I still think it's so great today. It's a perfect mix of chaos and organized planning all in one.
