Villainess Review: Valerie McGlynn (You're Not Safe Here)
There is a huge reason why I was so excited weeks ago when I learned about this movie, originally titled, The Girl in the Window, now known as You're Not Safe Here. The film begins with Ava discovering that she's pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Shane, who is established as being abusive and controlling towards Ava. Ava leaves Shane's clutches with the help of her friend Kyle, but while on the road, she ends up crashing her car. When she wakes up, Ava finds herself in a house occupied by Valerie and William McGlynn, who are both doctors.

Reviewing a Pair of Villainesses from "Picture Perfect Lies"
After a very thrilling wave of true crime films, Lifetime returned to the usual thrillers with this film, Picture Perfect Lies, which centered on Rachel Collins, who was celebrating her 16th birthday with her parents, Angela and Spencer Collins. Among the people celebrating along with the family is Rachel's aunt, Jenny Burkett, who is shown displaying a downtrodden demeanor, but sadly, the party ends on a tragic note, as Jenny is found in the pool...deceased.

Villainess Review: Cathy and Skylar Driver (Cradle Did Fall)
Lifetime took a break away from the batch of true crime films with this thriller, Cradle Did Fall, centering on Taylor Lewis and her infant daughter, Maya. Taylor later meets Cathy Driver, who introduced herself as a baby photographer, and offers to snap photos of Maya, with Taylor accepting. Cathy displayed a charming demeanor and continued doing so while introducing her daughter, Skylar, who was expecting. Similar to Cathy, Skylar turns on the charm, but as Cathy discusses her plans regarding Maya, we see Skylar head into the bathroom and open the window wide open.

Villainess Review: Bethany (Revenge for Daddy)
Revenge for Daddy (also known as Looking for Mr. Wonderful) aired on Lifetime on March 19, 2020, and centered on Lisa Clark, who had recently ended her relationship with police officer Bobby, due to his constant cheating. One of Bobby's flings was with Lisa's co-worker and so-called friend, Bethany, leading to a very chilly reception from not only Lisa, but from her best friend Nina. Lisa was set up with Michael Patterson, and it was later in the film that the group went out at a local bar--a night that ended very tragically for Nina, as she ended up killed.

Villainess Review: Kiki Owens (Morning Show Mysteries)
Hallmark Movies and Mysteries continues to amaze and entertain with their various film series, with one of them being Morning Show Mysteries. The film series stars Holly Robinson Peete as Billie Blessings, a chef and host of cooking segments on Wake Up With Us, a popular morning show, though in this first installment, "Mortal Mishaps," Billie finds herself in the center of not one, but two murder investigations, while also facing suspicion for the one committed in this film.

Villainess Review: Mandy (Saving My Daughter)
Normally, in my villainess reviews, I usually detail the events of the film or television program that eventually lead to the villainess being unveiled on screen. However, I'm going to do something different here because my usual approach is similar to a movie review as well, and there's already a review of this movie up on Vocal written by someone who I consider as the "Wayne Gretzky of movie reviews" (it's Stanley Cup Playoff time, hence the Great One reference). So with that, I'll just cut to the chase and state that this story and review is about Mandy, the main villainess of 2021's Saving My Daughter.

Reviewing a Hat Trick of Villainesses from "Sorority Sister Killer"
Sorority Sister Killer completed Lifetime's back-to-back days of sorority-themed thrillers, following Secrets of Sorority Row. In this film, the focus is on best friends Lacey Montgomery and Tara George, who are pledging to the Kappa Tau Pi sorority, which has Courtney McCray as president. After being welcomed by Courtney, younger sister Ella, and their mother (as well as the sorority's den mother), Lana, the girls start their pledging, which happens to include a hazing ritual that consisted of excessive drinking and bullying one of the pledges, Tiffany, by hurling fat-shaming comments at her and forcing her to take off her dress. This sets off Lacey, who leaves the house, but Tara remains, causing friction between the two friends.

Villainess Review: Betsy Gray (Chronicle Mysteries)
A Hallmark Movies and Mysteries film series I have immensely enjoyed is Chronicle Mysteries, which brought Allison Sweeney back into the fold. Sweeney, best known for playing scheming Sami Brady on Days of our Lives, portrayed Hannah Swensen on the Murder, She Baked film series, but this series casts Sweeney as podcaster Alex McPherson, and the second film of the series, The Wrong Man, featured Alex getting involved in investigating a murder that occurred three years prior to the events.

Villainess Review: Rachel Turner (Matchmaker Mysteries)
I am a huge fan of Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' many film series, and I love how these new series just keep popping up one by one. One of the recent film series is Matchmaker Mysteries, which stars Danica McKellar as famed matchmaker Angie Dove, and the first installment, A Killer Engagement, debuted on October 6, 2019.

Villainess Review: Stacey (Secrets on Sorority Row)
The first of back-to-back days of sorority-based thrillers on Lifetime gave us Secrets on Sorority Row, which began with a flashback to 1997, when Michelle and Kelly were pledging to the Epsilon Theta sorority, which was led by Stacey. The hazing ritual centered on excessive drinking, and after Michelle and Kelly were accepted, the latter ended up falling down a flight of stairs and to her death. Fast forward over 20 years, Michelle--a psychology professor--is dealing with her teenaged daughter, Quinn, pledging to the same sorority, and also dealing with threatening letters from someone referencing Kelly's death.

Villainess Review: Kristin (Brutal Bridesmaids)
Lifetime Movie Network gave us this film, Brutal Bridesmaids, in February 2021, which made me absolutely giddy because the title guarantees that a villainess will appear. But I'm getting ahead of myself, let's set the stage.

Villainess Review: Janice Roseland (Memories of a Murder)
This weekend, Lifetime gave us Memories of a Murder (originally titled, Souvenirs), which centered on a young woman named Gail, who was running a murder memorabilia shop. The shop served as a target of ridicule and vandalism from a group of teens led by Tori Kelly, and it was after eggs were thrown that Gail was visited by Janice Roseland, a detective who spoke to Gail about the vandalism and her shop. The film's progression sees Gail on the receiving end of calls from a mysterious killer, who had been taunting Gail and ordering her to sell some of the items from the shop. The caller also claimed that Gail's father was a killer himself, and that he created both of them.
