Villainess Review: Nancy (A Mother Knows Worst)
I remember the very day I watched this film on Lifetime, and I'm still amazed by the twists and turns that I saw that evening. A Mother Knows Worst (also known as Broken Cradle and A Deadly Lullaby) began with two couples set to welcome children: Olivia and Harry Davis, and their friends, Brooke and Glen Wilson. The Davises welcomed their child, a girl, which was handed to head nurse Nancy, only for the couple to receive the tragic news that their newborn suddenly passed on. The Wilsons also had a daughter of their own, which they named Sienna, and life afterwards saw Olivia cope with losing her baby, with Nancy serving as Olivia's means of emotional support.

Villainess Review: Gale and Denise Davidson (Walker)
I just want to say that I absolutely love the CW's Walker reboot! I've never seen the Chuck Norris original, but when I learned about this, I was in. The reason can be summed up in two words: Jared Padalecki. Having one half of Supernatural's dynamic duo back in the saddle was enough for me to go all in on this. The first season was immensely awesome, and the same can be said about the second season as well.

Villainess Review: Iris Quarrie (Final Move)
I watched Final Move during the summer of 2020, and this was quite a thriller. The film began with a brief glimpse to the past, with the scene centering on Thomas Page, who was known as the "Chess Piece Killer." Page's victims were all the same: people who were tried for crimes but avoided conviction due to a technicality. We later see a woman named Sarah Underhill being contacted by a mysterious caller who reminded her that she murdered children, with Sarah boasting that she was found innocent. This was followed by a hooded figure breaking in through Sarah's door, attacking Sarah, and electrocuting her to death with a taser before leaving a chess piece.

Reviewing a Hat Trick of Villainesses from "Bad Influence"
Tubi continues to come through with their Lifetime-esque movies with one of their latest ones, Bad Influence, which centered on Lily Miller and her widowed mother, Joan Miller, starting a new life in a new town. In the case of Lily, it includes a new school, where she suddenly makes friends with a group of students led by Violet Lawrence, and also consisting of fellow students Derek, Ava, and Peter. As Lily would quickly learn, Violet's group was connected by their fanaticism of Zenith, a book series whose message (according to Violet) stated that she and the others could do anything they wanted without repercussions or doubt.

Villainess Review: Cynthia Walker (Exploited)
So I was combing Redbox and decided to watch a film on their On Demand list; something I hadn't done in a while. After combing through a number of trailers, my film of choice was Exploited, and this was quite a movie that I picked out. The film centers on main protagonist Brian and his first day in college, but the beginning of his freshman year sees in the center of the world of webcam, voyeurism, dark secrets, sex, drugs, rock and roll, and yes, even murder.

Villainess Review: Lily Mahoney and Susan Loures (A Baby at Any Cost)
I was looking forward to this film for quite a while, and I finally got to see this on Lifetime Movie Network while also enjoying some playoff action in the NHL. The film centered on Monica Hunt, who (along with husband Brad Hunt) welcomed a baby daughter, Olivia, via a surrogate, Lily Mahoney. Enter Monica's sister, Jen Perry, who joins in the celebration, but she voices her bitterness over not being chosen as the surrogate. As we quickly learn, Jen has her own set of problems; she is in the midst of a bitter divorce from her ex-husband, Sam (who is an absolute piece of work), who is not allowing Jen to see their daughter, Ruby.

Villainess Review: Gillian Granger and Lucia Walters (Revenge Best Served Chilled)
While I was enjoying the evening's triumvirate of Game 7s in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, I was also enjoying this Lifetime film, Revenge Best Served Chilled, which was originally titled, A Glass of Revenge. The film centered on Emily Nguyen, a blogger who co-owns a restaurant, Lilla's (named after her late mother) with her father, though she had dreams of becoming a sommelier. Emily's application to join the American Wine Academy ends up accepted, and she is invited by the academy's vice president, Gillian Granger, who did so directly at Lilla's.

Villainess Review: Allison (Her Deadly Reflections)
I really enjoyed 2020's Deadly Resolutions films from Lifetime; it was an impressive batch of movies. Among the group was Her Deadly Reflections, which was also known as Shattered Memories, and the alternate title was fitting, as it centered on memory loss. The unfortunate recipient was Kelly Moore, an art gallery owner who kicks off the film by being shoved though her upstairs bedroom window before ending up in a car accident. Kelly survives it all and is hospitalized, and she is visited by the three people closest to her: Kelly's husband Dan Moore, her best friend/employee Allison, and Allison's husband Logan.

Villainess Review: Bonnie Mason (Nightmare Neighborhood Moms)
I had been anticipating this film, Nightmare Neighborhood Moms, for a few months, and the wait was definitely worth it. So the film wastes very little time establishing its main villainess, it's Bonnie Mason, who is shown in the opening scene of the film confronting her husband's mistress, Kira, with a gun. What follows is a wave of misogynistic rants directed at Kira, right before she shoots her rival to death. A few months pass, and Bonnie sees some new neighbors in the form of Charlotte Porter and her teenage daughter, Jordan. Of course, it takes all of two seconds for Bonnie not to like them, so she attempts to get some info from them directly.

Reviewing a Hat Trick of Villainesses from "Deadly Cheer Mom"
I've really loved that Tubi has been releases these original movies, because--for the most part--they're Lifetime movies that neither the main network nor its sister station, Lifetime Movie Network, have aired (as of yet). The latest one, Deadly Cheer Mom, centered on the cheerleading squad at Bridgebay High School, which had Beth Hartford as their newly appointed captain. It helps (or rather, it doesn't help) that the coach is Beth's mother, Deb Hartford, and we see Beth receive an earful from fellow cheerleader, Ashley, who hurls the nepotism accusations.

Villainess Review: Vanessa (Vid Chronicles)
Out of all of those "life lessons" video pages, I have to say that I love Vid Chronicles the best. For one, it's darker and grittier than Dhar Mann and Totally Studios, and secondly, the villainesses in Vid Chronicles are that much more interesting. One of a number of examples of both attributes is featured in one of their short films, Girlfriend Harms Boyfriend's Son, which centered on Vanessa, the girlfriend of divorced father James.
