Villainess Review: Melissa (Illumeably)
Valentine's Day. A day to celebrate love with your significant other. A day to honor one's better half. Also, it's a day where couples become, well, spontaneous (that's the clean way of looking at it). I hope the readers of this story have a wonderful Valentine's Day, but even the ultimate holiday for love isn't safe from villainesses. Just ask Illumeably.

Villainess Review: Patty Garner (10 Year Reunion)
You know, I really love these Lifetime movies that centered on a group of women getting together. One reason is because they usually involve at least one known actress who I'm a fan of, but there's also the obvious reason: one of them turns out to be evil. It's a case that has been seen so many times on Lifetime, and the 2016 thriller, 10 Year Reunion.

Wolf Pack Review: "Origin Point"
In a football season, Week 3 can serve as a turning point. Though football is the only sport where literally every game is important, Week 3 locks in tones for certain teams, and separates potential contenders from potential pretenders. When it comes to TV shows, especially serials with (at least) one mystery, Week 3 is when the plot starts to really thicken and things add up, with possible twists on the horizon. This was definitely the case with Paramount+'s Wolf Pack, and after we see a different quartet kick off the latest episode, the scene shifts to our familiar foursome.

A Look at Javicia Leslie's Villainous Return to the Arrowverse
Despite the fact that my immense ignorance of everything involving superhero comics came out while watching the final moments of The Flash, I'm still elated over this development. The Flash began its ninth and final season on February 9, 2023 with "Wednesday Ever After," the first of the final 13 episodes. The episode saw Barry and Iris in a time loop, with the former dealing with the episode's central baddie, Captain Boomerang, who was played by Richard Harmon of Continuum fame. Though everything ended well for Team Flash, we were treated to a final scene that saw Captain Boomerang calling out whoever he was working for in an abandoned warehouse.

Villainess Review: Heather Glass (CSI: Vegas)
I'm a big fan of the CSI franchise, which has been on TV, on and off, for 23 years. It all started back in 2000 with the original CSI series, and it was followed by spinoffs CSI: Miami and CSI: NY, as well as the short-lived CSI: Cyber series. The abrupt cancellation of Cyber ended the franchise, but it was resurrected with the premiere of CSI: Vegas, which served as a continuation of the original series that aired between 2000 and 2015. The series also serves as a continuation of another trait from the franchise: delivering huge in the villainess department.

Wolf Pack Review: "Two Bitten, Two Born"
Oh, I love that feeling when you watch the series premiere, and then certain parts play in your head in the seven days that pass, and before you know it, it's time for Episode 2. It's a very familiar feeling for this TV viewer, and it amplifies when it's a crime or horror series, with Wolf Pack...well...actually falling into both categories. So after we get a recap of the premiere, the second episode, "Two Bitten, Two Born," picks up where the premiere ended: with the werewolf quartet, Everett, Blake, Harlan, and Luna, all together--though Blake runs off.

Reviewing the Anticipated Series Premiere of "Wolf Pack"
If I recall, it was about two months ago that this series, Wolf Pack, was announced. I was in. I didn't give this a second thought. I've been a fan of the werewolf subgenre for a long time, if you can't tell by some of my fiction pieces. And what could be better than a werewolf-centered series? How about a werewolf-centered series with the queen of the vampire slayers herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar?

Villainess Review: Jackie and Allie Armstrong (The Plot to Kill My Mother)
What a treat! As this year's Divisional Playoff came to a close, Lifetime came through with their latest thriller, The Plot to Kill My Mother, which starts with a young woman, Teresa Russo, ending up in Witness Protection after surviving an attack from her lover, Lorenzo Bruno. Not only does she have to uproot her life, she has to uproot her baby daughter's as well, meaning that all she would ever know is the new life that Teresa had to live in for her own safety. 21 years pass, and the now-grown Elena Russo, is informed by Teresa that she had to go visit her ailing mother back at her hometown, though all that does is draw questions from Elena--questions that Teresa couldn't answer.

Villainess Review: Kate Kelsey (Good Wife's Guide to Murder)
Tubi's penchant for releasing their Lifetime-esque films vastly increased in 2022, and I'm glad to see that they're not wasting time with this trend in 2023. On January 14, Lifetime aired the true crime film, How to Murder Your Husband: The Nancy Brophy Story, a retelling of Nancy Brophy's murderous plot against her longtime husband. Shortly before this, Tubi gave us this film: Good Wife's Guide to Murder.

Villainess Review: Charlene Crawford (Reba McEntire's The Hammer)
Out of Lifetime's first batch of upcoming films for 2023, I actually looked forward to Reba McEntire's The Hammer the most, and the reasons were simple. It's epic enough that Reba McEntire, a country music icon and actress was behind an actual non-holiday Lifetime film, but we get the added bonus of a blast from the past. We get a Reba sitcom reunion, as Reba co-starred in this film with Melissa Peterman, who portrayed Barbra Jean on Reba's self-titled sitcom. Also part of the cast is Rex Linn, who is Reba's real-life boyfriend, and while I always think of CSI: Miami when it comes Linn, he and Reba are currently stealing scenes on ABC's Big Sky.

Reviewing "Disenchanted" and its "Wicked Good" Quartet of Villainesses
I remember how excited I was when the news broke that a sequel to the 2007 film, Enchanted, was coming. It was in May of 2022 that the sequel, Disenchanted, became official, and it was announced for a November premiere date on Disney+. Finally, on New Year's Eve, right before I watched the College Football Playoff games, I hit Disney+ to watch this. I had seen the first film 15 years ago at the theater, and I remember enjoying it so much, so I figured that the sequel would totally shine as well, and lo and behold, I was right.

Top 10 Lifetime Villainesses of 2022 (Part 2: The Top 5)
As I said while writing the first half of this list, it was hard to whittle this down to the top 10, and even the top five was difficult, a contrast to last year, when I had my top five decided. It took a lot of thought and a lot of time, and a lot of time, but I finally have my top five cemented. With that said, they are as follows:
