Actors who portrayed Willy Wonka
These were actors who played the role of a man who fulfilled our world of pure imagination or should I say Roald Dahl's creation. Started as a best-selling novel to film adaptations to a Broadway musical adaptation. These actors played the charming, gentle, and funny chocolatier Willy Wonka.

Rebel Moon Part One: A Dumpster of Fire
**SPOILERS** Oh, Zack Snyder...you and your ‘this isn’t Star Wars meets Seventh Samurai’ scheme, what did you do to us? I tried, I really did. The first fifteen minutes or so I thought we had something going on but quickly it all felt painfully familiar with themes and characters we’ve all seen before. We’ve got the evil Motherworld which is basically the Empire who have depleted their own world of resources and are in search of a planet that can make them sandwiches. One of the first images of them is their cylindrical ship leaaving what can only be describes as large space vagina. You be the judge. They find food makers in the village of the planet Veldt (It's not Tatouine) populated by a handful of farmers who proudly work their land and are home to our main protagonist Kora (Sofia Boutella). She is a brooding, isolated twenty-something with an attitude and with that well worn stereotype introduced we now know how this is all going to play out character wise for her. And yep, turns out she’s an elite trained soldier who escaped the Motherworld after their king, queen and their magical princess daughter Issa were assassinated. Issa could apparently bring dead things back to life (not using the Force) and was heralded as a messiah to her people. Well, she’s DEAD now viewers, don’t you feel angry? Well you SHOULD because Zack TOLD us so through three minutes of TOUCHING exposition. Does this play into the narrative? Does this motivate Kora for revenge? Nope. I don’t think it’s even mentioned again. So why bloody introduce us to it in the first place if it doesn’t advance the story? Well, viewers don’t ask questions, just suck it up and move on.

10 Things In 'Orange Is The New Black' That Didn't Make Any Sense. Top Story - January 2024.
Orange is the New Black first hit Netflix in 2013 and it almost instantly became a critically acclaimed hit show. The Netflix show written by Jenji Kohan was based off real-life inmate Piper Kerman's memoir Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison. The show was praised for breaking boundaries regarding subjects like LGBTQ+ awareness and criticism of the United States' correctional institutions, all while maintaining a profile of the show's main vision. Well... for the most part.

The Academy of Dramas Only
Last year that was some rightful outrage over the Oscar nominations snubbing Mia Goth for her performance in Pearl. There is often talk in film circles about why on earth musicals and comedies get shoved together and why neither genre seems to get the proper recognition. The reality is that in the last decade or so the academy has stopped acknowledging these genres as valid or skillful. It's really embarrassing for them because I could (and am going to) easily argue that these are in fact some of the MOST skillful genres and they require a lot more from a cast and crew than the movies that tend to be highlighted. Now we’ve already talked about what could actually be considered Oscar bait, now let's discuss why the academy thinks that if a movie is enjoyable it isn't Oscar worthy.

Anyone But You
2023 is ending with one of the best rom coms of all time, Anyone But You. Now the first thing I have to say about this movie is fire the marketing team. When I first saw the trailer I wanted to see it because I like rom coms and Sydney Sweeney is hot. However there was nothing that even vaguely indicated that this romantic comedy was a Shakespeare adaptation. Literally the best romantic comedies of all time are Shakespeare adaptations and this movie is no different. Anyone But You beautifully adapts Much Ado About Nothing in a modern and entertaining way.
