Can We Ever Numb the Pain Caused by These Awful Horror Remakes?
While we could easily start out by discussing which modern horror remakes were surprisingly good, the truth is the bad sometimes outweighs the good. Unfortunately for us, the bad outshines the good most of the time with remakes in general. This seems to be more prevalent, especially when it comes to the modern horror genre, so why not discuss it?

'The Sims' - The Movie
Years ago, back in about 2007 I think, it was announced that the popular video game franchise, The Sims would be getting its own movie. It is now years later, still no The Sims movie, not even a MySims animated series. Now, when it was announced that The Sims was getting a movie with 20th Century Fox, John Davis even mentioned how the movie would be like the popular 1985 film, Weird Science. He mentioned it in that, in the film, kids would get a thing called Sims Infinity Pack which they would play, but soon realize that everything they do in the game affects the real world. That reminds me more about the movie, Click where Adam Sandler controlled the world around him with a remote or maybe the film, Stranger than Fiction, where Emma Thompson's character was writing a novel about a man who she didn't know was Will Ferrell, controlling his life.

Best Foreign Films Every Cinema Fan Must See
Hollywood dominates the film landscape, but that doesn't mean it's the only place where important work is being done. Compelling stories are being told all over the world, and often they can be glimpses into worlds we would have otherwise never encountered. They may not be blowing up our box offices, but now more than ever we need character driven art house cinema that Hollywood rarely touches — everything can't be a goddamn superhero movie. The best foreign films take risks, and film critics, plus serious cinephiles, thank them for it.

Craziest Netflix Movies That Mess With Your Head
If you ask me, one of the biggest problems with mainstream Hollywood movies is that they rarely make you think. Most movies are visually stunning, superficial, and "feel good" trips that never really make the audience pause, and actually absorb what they're seeing.

'Spider-Man: Homecoming'
There are times when we all think "can’t we have this one good thing." What this "thing" is differs from person to person, and more often than not you will find yourself second-guessing why it isn’t a "good thing." Chances are, it’s because that good thing is deeply flawed, and said flaws need to be called out.

5 Films That Actually Deserve A Remake
In this seemingly unwavering era of Hollywood sequels, reboots and remakes, it has become a rarity for an original property to grace our cinema screens. Though this trend has already become played-out and tiresome, with box-office flops such as Ghostbusters (2016) and The Mummy (2017) proving that name alone is not enough, the powers-that-be show no signs of slowing. The next few years will see numerous reboots/remakes hit the silver screen. Get ready for a new (but probably not improved) Jumanji, Mary Poppins, The Matrix, Police Academy, and Logan’s Run... to name but a few. As well as live-action reboots of all the major Disney properties.
