'La La Land' Is Gearing up to Be One of the Best Movies of the Year
With Emma Stone recently nabbing the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival and critics absolutely adoring it, the Damien Chazelle-directed La La Land is shaping up to be easily one of the biggest hits of 2016. Other actresses who have won the Coppa Volpi for Best Actress have gone on to receive Academy Award nominations for their respective roles, these include Julianne Moore in Far From Heaven (2002), Helen Mirren in The Queen (2006) and Cate Blanchett in I'm Not There (2007). Plus it is the third Ryan Gosling/Emma Stone collaboration, the first two being Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011) and everyone's favourite gangster flick, Gangster Squad (2013), so you are guaranteed at least a bit of chemistry in this character-driven picture.

Their acting abilities are great and just watch how lovable they are on The Tonight Show where Finn Wolfhard (Mike) pulls a rather nice burn on host Jimmy Fallon:

To put it lightly, 2017 was an interesting year for movies. Logan became the first movie since The Dark Knight to break the superhero mold, Wonder Woman topped every Marvel film at the domestic box office, Star Wars: The Last Jedi received a less-than-warm reception from fans, IT became the highest grossing horror movie ever, and an Edgar Wright movie made more than $100 million (Baby Driver).

'Tomb Raider' (2018): Why You Should Care!
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider has and always will have a soft spot in my heart. Beginning at a young age, the Tomb Raider games were some of my all time favorite adventures. This was before the internet and googling puzzles children, this was a time when you would have to stop, take a break, go out to eat, vacuum, do the dishes, take a nap and right as you woke up your brain would go, "Oh! That's how I do it!" Ah better times, simpler times. But as time went on, so did Lara. With new adventures, new outfits and reboots. The latest 2013 reboot didn't upset though, and fans all over embraced the new story and new adventure of playing as Lara again.
