'Paddington 2' Is the True Best Picture of 2018. Top Story - February 2018.
Anyone who has kept up with pop culture this year has probably heard a lot of buzz about The Shape of Water, Dunkirk, Lady Bird, etc., but where is the talk about Paddington 2? My 17-year-old brother, an avid movie-theatre-goer, chose to see the film that follows everyone's favorite red-hatted bear during its opening week in the U.S.

Movie Review: 'Columbus'
The film language of Columbus is quite striking. Director Kogonada elegantly eschews expository dialogue in favor of allowing his camera to deliver essential information. The story of Columbus centers on a pair of lost souls, Jin, played by John Cho, and Casey, played by Haley Lu Richardson. Jin and Casey bond over the architecture in the city of Columbus, Indiana, which has a unique architectural history to it.

Ranking the Movies of 2018 Week 3
After two weeks at the top, Foxy Brown has finally been dethroned as the best movie I have seen in 2018. My esteem for Pam Grier and Foxy Brown has not diminished in any way but two new movies I saw this past week pushed past Foxy to give me two new movies, right at the top of the list and a new number one that I could never have predicted in the emotional coming of age drama, Just Charlie.

The 'Rocky' Saga: An Appreciation
1976. I went alone, and I’m glad I did. Actually, I snuck into my local multiplex. The audience was standing during that climactic fight - no hyperbole - and pounding their fists into the air. World Heavyweight Champ Apollo Creed was knocked down for the first time in his career, though he didn’t “look the best he’s ever been,” according to one of the ring announcers.

30 Minutes or Less with Jesse Eisenberg Sends Adult Adolescence Genre Over the Top
We love movies about men who cannot slip the bounds of adolescence and join the ranks of adulthood. But Steve Rose of The Guardian has had enough. “This perpetual state of immaturity has spread like a fungus across the movie landscape,” he wrote in 2012. He definitely has a point, but the glut still didn’t deter me from liking Ruben Fleischer’s 30 Thirty Minutes or Less.

Vin Diesel Opens up About Paul Walker's Impact on 'the Fate of the Furious'
It's hard to believe it has been more than three years since we lost actor and humanitarian #PaulWalker when he and friend Roger Rodas tragically lost their lives in a fatal car accident. Since his death, Walker's best friend and Furious co-star Vin Diesel has posted numerous touching tributes for the actor, affectionately referring to him as "brother Pablo." During the world premiere of the latest installment, Diesel stayed true to his promise of 'family first' by dedicating the Fast franchise's success to Walker's hard work.

Looking for the Man Behind the Mythos: 6 Small but Clever Windows Into James Bond's Character
In a sense, being a Bond fan is kind of like having this enigmatic friend or acquaintance. You know, that type of person with whom you always enjoy hanging out with but—outside the time you've spent together—don't really know much about. Sure, you might get curious from time to time but you usually just leave it be, as it's clear that for whatever reason, this person likes to keeps things close to chest.
