Go Watch 'Yesterday' Today!
So I’m off out with Zoë, the love of my life, to the cinema in Nottingham. We've chosen to see Yesterday, a film that’s already been out about a month. That’s just long enough for us to have read, watched, and listened to enough reviews to make us think that it’s worth giving it a go. Some friends went when it was first released, and one of them tells us that her husband had a tear in his eye at some points and was laughing out loud at other points. They encourage us to go see it and so here we are at the Nottingham Showcase Cinema.

Movie Review: 'The Art of Self Defense' Is a Strange Failure of Tone
The Art of Self Defense defied my attempts to like it. I wanted to enjoy the odd tone and the strange sense of humor of writer-director Riley Stearns. I wanted to enjoy the hipster send up of masculinity that is at the core of The Art of Self Defense, but the film's highly self-conscious style kept putting me at a distance before finally, with nothing to grasp onto aside from an appreciation of the style of the film, I finally left defeated and deflated.

Marvel Phase 4 or That time I skipped an entire phase of Marvel films
Comic-Con, it's a thing! This year Marvel announced their line up of films and shows for the MCU's forth phase, and it's just... kind of underwhelming. I don't know, maybe I'm a cynical asshole, but where are the big guns? These are all d-list characters, and their doesn't seem to much crossover movies either. I wish I was interested, but I just have this overwhelming feeling of meh.

The Night She Watched 'Beauty and the Beast' Alone
She turned out the lights, grabbed her soda, and a blanket. She curled up on the love seat like they used to do together. And she thought about her husband as a tear came to her eye. This movie she thought she would not watch. The new movies sometimes just did not look good, and this one she was not sure about. She finally decided to watch it because it reminded her of her husband. Beauty and the Beast quickly became her favorite princess movie when her husband, who at the time was her boyfriend, referenced them as a couple to the beauty and the beast.

Movie Villains that Actually Won
From the beginning of a movie, we are usually rooting for the hero; it is just instinct. But in the end, after our hero gets their happily ever after, we may have missed the misfortune that is about to fall upon them. Sometimes, we miss the villain's true motives and the fact that they may have actually defeated our beloved hero whether anyone notices it or not. Here is a list of some movie villains that actually won.

Movie Review: 'Supervized' Mines Laughs From Aging Superhero Gags
Supervized stars Tom Berenger as Ray AKA Maximum Justice. Ray is a resident of a nursing home in Ireland, for reasons unexplained, and he’s formerly one of the most beloved superheroes in the world. Alongside his partner Shimmy, AKA Ted (Beau Bridges), Ray used to save the world from all manner of world ending threats. Nowadays, Ray is more likely to use his mastermind control powers to change the channel, so he doesn’t have to retrieve the remote.
