1917 Review
Hollywood has always popped out numerous war films throughout the years. Even as wars were still happening in the front, war films about that particular war were being produced (WWII films in particular). Audiences seem to have a fascination with these films. Whether it be for being petrified by the horrors, graphic violence, and ethical questions behind the war, audiences have flocked to these films time and time again. Whatever the case may be, 1917 certainly fits these premises. It also manages to go beyond the typical mold and create the film that we need at this time.

Parasite vs Joker: A comparison of two films that wage war on wealth inequality. Top Story - February 2020.
There is no doubt that both Joker and Parasite have created a stir in the world of cinema and very much both deserve to take home Best Picture - in my opinion they are both jarring works of art that directly point a bold finger at how people suffer as as a result of wealth inequality, but they accomplish this in different ways. A Filmmaker's Review: "Who Killed Malcolm X" (Netflix, 2020)
Malcolm X is one of my favourite people in all of human history, I absolutely love the guy to bits. He is an intelligent and amazing figurehead of a movement I wholeheartedly support. He is a man who began a movement that has rippled on straight into our own time and this documentary represents why, on the whole being that he was so powerful and good at what he did, he was ultimately assassinated.

The Best Wedding Related Movies & TV Shows
Weddings. They’re seen as one of the high points of someone’s life, and why shouldn’t they be? Getting married can be the biggest signal of your love for the one other person who means the most to you in this life. So naturally, they’ve featured heavily in the media, especially in films and TV shows. Sometimes they come with humour, sometimes they come with horror, and other times (looking at you, Eastenders and all other soaps) they can come with a lot of drama. Using a wedding as a plot point can result in some fairly bad movies (looking at you, the Hangover Part II and the Hangover Part III), but there are plenty of good ones out there that can show you that maybe just having a relatively quiet wedding with little drama might be the way to go. So what are some of the best wedding representations out there?

Cosplay Conventions Should Be All About Fun and Games.
As a long time cosplayer, I have found it extremely aggravating when people want to cause trouble and drama at conventions. I have seen way too much of it and quite frankly, I am sick of it. My friends and I are in the agreement that these conventions should be our escape from reality.

Oscar Winning Filmmaker Unravels Eliot Spitzer Scandal in New Documentary
Poster Studio : Magnolia Pictures As the Sheriff of Wall Street, Eliot Spitzer certainly accumulated some powerful enemies. And eventually they started talking to each other, according to Alex Gibney, who appeared at the Jacob Burns Film Center with his documentary, Client 9 : The Rise and Fall of Elliot Spitzer. But as the governor's dictatorial style intersected with the well chronicled sex scandal, the three act drama that was his political career could have no other ending.

Richard Linklater’s Boyhood is such a Drag
Studio : IFC Films, Poster Boyhood took 12 years to make. Praise is certainly warranted for Richard Linklater and a cast in for the long haul. Unfortunately, the film leaves the viewer feeling as though they’ve also surrendered a decade. The temperament of the title character doing most of the damage.

Knives Out Review
I took my dad to see this film and unfortunately, we had to sit on the very front row in a tiny screening room, but it oddly enough enhanced the ridiculousness and camp of this film. Plus, it was National Popcorn Day (I firmly believe popcorn that's 50% off, tastes infinitely better) and needless to say my dad and I could not stop shoving popcorn in our faces the entirety of this film. This film is the perfect movie theater popcorn film. It felt nostalgic for the classic Agatha Christie "whodunnits" while also bringing a fresh approach. This all-star cast certainly contributed to the delightful chaos of this film.
